    The director arrived, calming the chatter. "Good afternoon, all--and thank you for helping to bring a Kalosian treasure to life--'The Three Musketeers'

    She looked over at Serena. "Serena--since you've read the original story; would you like to explain to everyone the differences between this adaptation and the original?"

    "Sure..." Serena got up to address the group. "For everyone's reference, we're doing a popular family friendly adaptation written by a Kalosian playwright--Nina Chéron ring any bells?"

    Cheers filled the air at this--Nina Chéron was well regarded around the world for her family friendly adaptations of well known stories that captured the spirit of the original, even if they weren't 100% accurate. "Okay...while she has done some more mature work, Nina's primary audience is families." Serena went on. "So anyone want to guess what the first big difference is?"

    "No d'Artagnan!" a boy guessed.

    "Yes!" Serena smiled. "Nina felt it would be more powerful to see the Athos, Porthos, and Aramis counterparts rising to become musketeers, before they met d'Artagnan."

There, three friends struggle to survive among the rogues, troublemakers, and thieves. We have chosen to name them Rowan, Brenna, and Eliwood."

    Were our protagonists going to jump right into action? Or would there be a build-up to it? The plot seemed very intriguing Alyssa thought.

    As more questions get answered, new ones begin to pop up. The plot is thickening at this point. Which is only making this adaptation more amazing.

    "After a series of mishaps, Captain Vernet vows that Rowan, Brenna, and Eliwood will never become musketeers." Serena continues. "But this only strengthens their resolve. Meanwhile, Princess Caliste summons Captain Vernet, and demands him to give her a unit of musketeers as bodyguards. This gives Captain Vernet an idea--why not make our heroes musketeers, then trap them with the princess and her lady so he can take over unopposed?"

    The plot simply kept getting deeper as time passed. Something evil or otherwise must be afoot. But did anyone really know what it was?
