Melody appearing in her spotlight quieted the fearful whispers in the auditorium. "With our heroes captured, things looked bleak for the land--Liliane dealt with Eliwood, Brenna was thrown inside a hidden cell in Captain Vernet's secret hideout, and Rowan was brought to a cell deep within a ruined cathedral, where he was left to drown from the raging storm outside..."

The lights came up on Misty in her cell. She had worked herself free of her bindings, and was undoing the gag. Once she could speak again, she addressed the audience. "There! Now that I'm free, the next question is how to get out of here and find my friends..."

Some voices got her attention, so she listened in on the girl playing Liliane and the bandits reporting to The boy playing Captain Vernet. "We've brought the girl here..." the first bandit began.

"I'll dispose of the lovebird here shortly..." the girl playing Liliane added.

"Good--I have taken the black haired boy and his Pikachu to the ruins of Choseki Cathedral..." the boy playing Captain Vernet replied.

"Choseki Cathedral? But that place has been abandoned for years!" Misty gasped.

"Now that we have the three thorns in my side out of the way, the only one that still stands in my way is Princess Caliste...once she is gone, I will rule this land!" the boy playing Captain Vernet triumphantly declared.

Misty grumbled in anger as the villainous group laughed. "I knew from the beginning Captain Vernet was up to no good...he only wanted us and Princess Caliste out of the way so HE could rule the land!"

A hopeful melody began in the background as Misty continued "I will never bow to a traitor and a tyrant! I'm going to get out of here and save my friends!"

Suddenly, her blade touched a brick, revealing a passageway into an underground waterway, where a small boat was docked. "Well! A secret passageway! Maybe this will lead me to wherever Rowan and Eliwood are being held!"

The lights went down and Melody appeared in her spotlight. "Brenna managed to escape Captain Vernet's hideout, beginning a desperate search for her friends. Meanwhile, Admiral Liliane brought Eliwood to Kasen Bridge, where she planned to stage his death as an accidental drowning." While most of the audience chattered with worry, some of the kids in the audience were excited--Brock was going to sing his song next!

The lights come up on the set of a bridge somewhere in the city. The girl playing Liliane led Brock into the scene, and forced him onto the edge of the bridge. "Any last words?" she asked.

"I do have one last request...tell me what I have done to deserve to die." Brock calmly replied.

"You have interfered in our brilliant plot to take over the throne for too long--and all that oppose the captain will die!" the girl replied.

This angered Brock. "I will not allow that!" he barked.

"And why not?" the girl retorted.

"Think, Eliwood--your life's hanging in the balance on this one explanation." Brock mused in character. "She might spare me if I do really well making my case..."

"Either make your case as to why I should spare you or jump--I don't have all night!" the girl cautioned.

"If I'm gonna make my case, I should make it on a high note!" Brock mused, a playful grin forming on his face.

With that, he sang! I see shining in your eyes
A reflection of the future!

A future filled with many victories!

The girl watched in surprise as a blue spotlight appeared on Brock as the music picked up. I don't like it when people don't speak up he sang.
And spread their wings into the brand new dawn!
I've always dreamed that I could touch the sky
That's why I won't give up!

The song in my heart resounds through the city
It rallies all in the land to my cause!
And as the world hears the melody,

Some in the audience gasped in horror as his final triumphant pose caused him to fall from the bridge! "Happy landings! And thanks for the swan song!" the girl giggled from the darkness.

A thud from the darkened stage signaled Brock had landed somewhere solid!

Cheers went up and huge sighs of relief went up when the audience saw where he landed--in the boat Brenna found! "Eliwood!" Misty cried when she recognized who had landed in the boat.

"Brenna! You're safe!" Brock was just as happy. "Some "Aw"s went up as they hugged each other.

"Listen...while I was locked up, I overheard Captain Vernet saying he only wanted us out of the way so he could kidnap Princess Caliste at the play, and take over the kingdom!" Misty explained.

"That dirty, rotten..." Brock grumbled.

"What's worse, Rowan is being held in the ruins of Choseki Cathedral." Misty continued.

"I thought that place was abandoned when the tides began flooding it..." Brock replied.

"If we don't hurry, Rowan and Pikachu will be washed away with the tides!" Misty cried.

"Come on! Chart a course for the Choseki Ruins!" Brock called as he climbed towards the front of the boat.

"Right!" Misty replied.

"Brenna and Eliwood hurried as fast as they could to the ruins of Choseki Cathedral." Melody narrated from her spotlight. "They met Pikachu on the road, and he led them to where his master was being held--but they had to work quickly, or Rowan would drown!"

An urgent melody began as Tintri, Misty, and Brock dashed across the stage. "We're coming, Rowan!" Brock called in character.

"We don't care if we die trying!" Misty vowed.

"You are our friend, and we're gonna rescue you!" Brock agreed.

Misty, Brock, and Tintri arrived inside a scene of the ruined cathedral as the song ended. "We're coming, Rowan!" Brock called.

Just then, they heard a sound of rushing water and Ash feigning a cough from offstage. "There!" Misty pointed, leading the way offstage as the lights went down.

When the lights came up again, Ash came to on the city streets. "Where am I..." he woozily asked before he noticed Misty and Brock. "Brenna? Eliwood? Captain Vernet told me you guys were dead!"

"It'll take more than locking us up and nearly drowning us to keep us down!" Brock smiled.

"Thank you!" Ash smiled. Some "aw"s filled the air as he hugged Misty and Brock.

"We're your friends, Rowan--best friends help each other!" Misty smiled.

"And stick together, no matter what happens!" Brock agreed.

"Right now, Princess Caliste needs our help!" Misty explained.

"Yeah..." Ash smiled as he stood up. "I may be a little impatient...Brenna can be hot-headed..."

"Hey..." Misty growled, to some laughter.

"And I may fall a little too hard for a lady sometimes..." Brock went on.

"But when we work together, we can do anything!" Ash vowed.

"Captain Vernet can do his worst, for all I care!" Now Brock was inspired.

"But there's nothing he can do to stop us!" Misty agreed.

Ash drew his sword. "For Princess Caliste! And for the kingdom!"

"YEAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!" the Trio cheered, dashing offstage to a triumphant interlude.

Melody reappeared at stage right. "The reunited musketeers hurried as quickly as they could to the Theater Royale, hoping all the while they were not too late to save the princess and stop Captain Vernet from taking over the kingdom!"
