@Sugar @122 Generation The flight to Alola was relatively uneventful. Before long, the intercom dinged. Alola and welcome to Hau'oli Airport, local time is 1:10 ADT. Please do not stand until the plane comes to a complete stop and the captain has turned off the seatbelt sign. While it had been evening when the group departed, it was afternoon in Alola. As soon as the group disembarked, Comfeys settled on the group's necks.
"Well would you look at that. I can already see a beach with a beachfront and a shopping district. I could have some fun here."
@Sugar @122 Generation After being reunited with their bags and gear, the shuttle took the group to the hotel where they would stay while on Melemele Island--the Emerald Plaza Resort. The resort was famous all around the island and around the world for its impeccable service, variety of amenities, and beachside location.
@Sugar All the hotel rooms were nice and roomy. Many of them had beachside or poolside views, or a view of the hotel's exquisite tropical garden--you were definitely not looking out at parking lots here. Not surprisingly, many of the students were eager to hit the beach or the pool after the long plane ride--never mind the jet lag.
"This really is the life, isn't it? I'm ready to pop into all the shops and see what I can find. Better not waste any time."
@Sugar There were plenty of shops to be had on the main drag. From basic sundries to all kinds of souvenirs, there was something for both native and visitor to enjoy. Not surprisingly, there was a music store present, enticing visitors to buy a quality ukulele to take home.
Alyssa looked through some of the windows to try and find something she liked. Find a nice, decorative shop, she seemingly found her go-to spot. It looked like Alolas go to as well.
As it happened, Martine was walking along the shopping district as well. She had wanted to buy something at the boutique, but was worried that they would impact her budget and debt. After gazing at the windows for a while, she turned her attention to the waterfront.
@122 Generation (every student has some spending money--you can also do jobs that would help the debt along)
(That would be useful to know) Seeing the aqua-haired girl looking at some windows like herself, Martine walked over to her. "Salut! What are you looking at?" she said.
@Sugar @122 Generation Not even Miracolore could resist jumping back into exploring paradise--they were already making plans for a dive expedition. Anyone with the proper training was welcome to join in exploring the beautiful reefs off the beach.
Alyssa saw Martine in the corner of her eye and turned around halfway. "Oh hi, haven't seen you in a while! I'm thinking of buying this, but I think it might be too tacky. What say you?"
