    Ash's collection of bansi sheet music had a wide variety of tunes. There were simple melodies for beginners (including some with the four notes she knew), on up to many of the most famous tunes in the bansi repertoire.

    The tune in question featured the four notes she knew so far, but a lot of quick rhythms. Fortunately, Ash planed to teach her how to manage the fast tempo with tonguing, along with another note, in their next lesson

    Unfortunately, the song came out not so nice. The tempo was a little fast for her ability, so her fingers were stumbling all over the place.

    Ash listened as Alyssa performed the two pieces he had asked her to practice. While she had a better grasp on the F note, there were still a few wavery notes and small mistakes. Most of the mistakes were likely nerves, he figured.

    Once Alyssa had finished both pieces, he gave his feedback. "Okay...you're getting better at focusing your air, but I still heard some wavery notes. Remember that the embouchure is firm, but relaxed, no matter what range you're in."
