I'm amazed that more people don't know about this branch of Pokémon. I have recently ben playing Shadows of Almia again and I love it just as much as I did when I was younger. Shadows of Almia is, IMHO, the best in the trilogy and was my favourite Pokémon game for a long while. They seriously need to make a 6th gen sequel of this and Conquest, but keep the same art style.

I hate the first Ranger. Mainly because if the line broke it was over and you'd have to start from the beginning. X(

Shadows of Almia is my favorite!

I love Pokémon Ranger it's one of my favorite series of all time! It needs another game I miss it so much! I disliked the first Ranger game but then again I've played the emulator version so it's probably different on the DS. I loved the last two games Shadows of Alima defiantly for best plot and Guardian Signs for best features!

I've played all three and I think I probably like the third one the best because it had a bit of multiplayer stuff going on which was fun to play with my brother. the first one was so hard for me as a kid because if you messed up once you had to start over and I remember struggling particularly with the time where you had to preform a capture on four scizor it's really hard. I've beaten them all though and completed all the sidequests and, I think they have browsers in stead of pokedexes, which I completed as well.

I'll be honest, I really didn't expect much from the Ranger games. I've played both Ranger and Shadows of Almia, and their gameplay, while simple, was surprisingly fun. As always, the plot of a Pokémon game continues to surprise, and Almia's story was far darker and more involved than I expected. I can't really remember much of the first game, but Shadows of Almia was very well done.

Of course, I can't help but wonder if the Ranger Union is actually connected to the Pokémon Ranger trainer class, or if they simply share a name...

I really liked these games! :)
The first game in the series was a bit tricky though, because you would have to start over if your line thing was shattered. I like how it was changed in the second game to more of an overall meter.

Pokémon Ranger games were actually really good! I would love to see one on the 3DS with better graphics! The games themselves were pretty dark, which I absolutely loved. I like the concept of having just one partner Pokémon since it kind of gives you a sense of attachment to the Pokémon more than anything else. Pokémon Ranger are 8/10 games for me. They're really simple, but fun nevertheless!

I've seen these for super cheap in Game Stop - are they worth buying? I've considered it but part of me has doubts due to the playability and style of the games.

Shadows of Almia is definitely worth it. It's not a hard game to get used to playing, and it's really fun. The plot is great as well!

I have only finished Shadow of Almia. I think that Pokémon Ranger series is super hard for me...
The story is good. The gameplay style is pretty unique. And the music is amazing!

I played the first Pokémon Ranger a couple times, it had its problems but it was enjoyable. I especially liked the climax of the main story, I remember rage quitting at that stupid Entei for a little while but once I did win what happened afterwards was great. However, I didn't like that the plot basically fueled on something I knew from the second bad could have been conspired was going to happen (with the trials, I knew right away that you would be tricked into doing the fourth and cause disasters).

Shadows of Almia I only played once, but it was pretty fun. I never finished Guardian Signs, sadly. Overall, decent series but not one I won't be upset if it doesn't return.

Shadows of Almia was really cool! I enjoyed the story and character and the new mechanics that were changed from the original.

I love all three of these games and wish they'd make a fourth, but with a little twist. I personally think it would be cool if you where a ranger in a major region like Hoenn or Shino. While it may derive from the original feeling of the games I just think it'd be fun to be the ranger force in a world dealing with threats like Team Plasma.

I recently played Guardian Signs and I have to say it was pathetically easy. The closest I got to dying was those stupid steam pipes when you were escaping the submarine. Was a shame cause Shadows of Almia was a real challenge.

Oh gosh! I loved Pokémon Ranger and Shadows of Almia even more! I haven't had the chance to play Pokémon Ranger Guardian Signs but I am tempted to go out and purchase a game card with all the Pokémon games in them just so that I can re-experience the whole game franchise.

But oh my gosh, I super duper enjoyed Shadows of Almia more than the original one... I was also sad that I did not get the chance to experience the special mission with Manaphy's egg... :(
