I couldn't find a subforum for manga, so I'll just leave this here.

Pokémon reBURST is a manga by Mitsuhisa Tamura and Jin Kusude set in the Pokémon universe (obviously). The manga centers around Ryouga and his friends, who battle the evil Great Gavel organization.

Seems normal, but there's a twist: They use Pokémon to battle, don't get me wrong, but they actually fuse (or "Burst") with Pokémon in order to do so.

In order to "Burst", the user must have a "Burst Heart", or a gem with their Pokémon inside of it. Once they fuse with the Pokémon inside the Burst Heart, they change dramatically. They gain abilities and immunities used by the Pokémon, but they must go through intense training to Burst, or their life will be in danger.

Just so we're clear, this is not Doujin. This is actual canon manga. It was first released in Shonen Weekly Sunday, and since has been completed.

    Any thoughts?
