Pokemon rumors your friends told you!

Oh! I just remembered this one. My friends used to tell me that if you kept pressing the A button while your opponent's Pokémon is confused, there would be a high chance that it would hurt itself and if you press B while your own Pokémon is confused, it would snap out of confusion.
I know the game doesn't work that way but I still do it sometimes and it does work most of the time.

 

Eh... The closest I've ever had was once when I was training my Eevee in the night because I wanted Umbreon I had a friend who told me you needed a Moonstone. I knew at the time that you needed to train it at night, but I decided to play along and let her look for a Moonstone, but that was just because I had a Nidorino and wanted a Nidoking.

 

My friends told me when I was younger, that if you button-mash when catching a Pokémon, it would make the capture-rate higher. I still find myself button-mashing to this day. It actually works sometimes.

 

I've heard that one before too, actually... I don't believe it though. I have a habit of hitting "A" over and over again after throwing a Poke'Ball though.

 

None of my real life friends were into Pokémon, but I saw this cheat that if you continuously walk to the left and right side of the bridge in Canalave City while pressing B, there would be this portal that would lead you to Darkrai. Man, how did I fall for that...?

 

My older cousin told me that holding down B and the left button when you attack would make your opponent lose more Hp, and holding B and the right button would prevent you from losing as much. This was my first main series game that he had given me that day so I believed him, for the longest time until my friend set me straight. I still find myself doing this out of habit to this day. To start a little tradition, I passed the fake trick my younger cousin a few years ago when she was starting off on her own game, she doesn't play anymore but occasionally she likes to do a few battles on my games and I always smile when she holds down the buttons.
