With all the hype for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, it's nice to see some Pokémon Sun and Moon news appearing lately! First off, we have the Salazzle event, which started earlier this month, and is being held until September 4th. To receive this Salazzle, head into your local video game retailer and ask if they have any codes for Salazzle. This Salazzle isn't anything special - it comes with the moves Fake Out, Toxic, Sludge Bomb, and Flamethrower, and it is holding a Focus Sash. The event is meant to celebrate the release of the Pokémon TCG Set "Sun & Moon - Burning Shadows", where Salazzle is featured as one of the powerful GX cards. Next, we have the announcement of Marshadow events in the west. The events will start sometime in October, depending on your region, and are obtained via a code from a game retailer, just like Salazzle. Marshadow comes with the moves Spectral Thief, Close Combat, Force Palm, and Shadow Ball, and it is holding it's unique Z-Crystal, the Marshadium-Z, which allows it to turn Spectral Thief into the Z-Move "Soul-Stealing 7-Star Strike". Finally, we have some news about the Pokémon Sun and Moon anime. Starting on the 14th of September, and ending on the 21st, Ash Ketchum will travel back to the Kanto region for a brief period of time, where he'll meet up with his old friends Misty and Brock. An article in CoroCoro states that Brock is still on his journey to become a Pokémon Doctor, Misty is still a Water-type expert, and that Ash is returning to Kanto to do a school project about his Pokémon, meaning we might see his old team members as well as his old friends. Ash will also battle against Brock and Misty, with their team members of Steelix and Gyarados being able to Mega Evolve. Perhaps this is hinting that there are more things to be discovered about Mega Evolution, as the game mechanic was discussed very briefly in the Pokémon Sun and Moon games. Well, that's it for this news update. Make sure you stay tuned to Lake Valor, where there'll be more in-depth analysis on any information given about Pokémon. This is Pixel, signing out until next time!
YES! Marshadow is finally coming! Aaaaahhh- This is the one and only Pokémon I have yet to legitimately obtain in the mainstream games, and I am super hyped that it's finally coming over to the west before Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon come out. I AM EXCITED!
I am so proud of Misty for using a Mega Gyarados :') HYPE for Marshadow tooo! I've tested it out on showdown and it is spectacular. Can't wait to use one in game as well!
