@Ignem Here we go on this grand trek! The sun was already high overhead Masara as the people came and went about their daily routines. Ever since the Grand Beautifly Road had been completed, more people were traveling far and wide across Kanto and Johto. The route wound across the two regions, before looping around to the Aiiro City, where Master Wataru held court and the grand Temple of the Beautifly Princess stood. But the route was not without its dangers--this was why Masara's two resident yokai hunters, Ash and Serena, regularly patrolled the stretch of road leading to the first temple on the route--the Temple of the Foxy Emperor. They had traveled the long road many a time, and were willing to escort those that asked as far as they felt comfortable--whether this was their regular patrol route or the entire road. (From here, you can: --Explore Masara --listen to any rumors at the teahouse --ask Ash and Serena about what they have found on their patrol (or ask them to come with you) --shop for supplies --receive healing or blessings at the town shrine)
The day was finally here for Tyson. Today he was going to leave for his journey on the Beautifly road. Though he had few errands to run like going to the local bank and get some gold coins there, get his dagger and then ask the Yokai Hunters what they found in their patrols.
@Ignem Luckily, Ash and Serena were returning from a patrol at that moment. Not all yokai meant to harm the living, so they would report sightings of helpful yokai, spirits, and deities as well as those that harmed the living.
After he had gotten his gold and dagger he headed to the Yokai Hunter's office. But he was able to find the two on the way to their office. "Hey you two are the Yokai Hunters right?" He said to them, "Can you tell me what did you find on your patrols?"
@Ignem Ash and Serena's base was not far from the town square, and easily accessible from anywhere in town. This way anyone that needed a rogue yokai or spirit dispatched in the middle of the night could find them. Their costumes and gear were easy to spot, as well--Ash usually wore majestic red, gold, and silver garb, and wielded a one handed sword that evoked Moltres rising from the flames with its orange and gold blade. Serena usually wore some striking gold and white garb, befitting a trained spirit dancer of the Shining Flame school. She wielded a sparkling gold ribbon like a whip, but had a pair of twinblades as backup if her holy dance was not possible to perform . For the moment, they had returned from one of their daily patrols. "So far, all is well on the road, for Otora Gitsune, the warrior Delphox, is on patrol." Serena replied. Everyone knew well that Otora Gitsune was the guardian spirit of noble warriors, so if she was spotted on the road, bandits usually left travelers alone.
"Alright thank you very much for the info, " he said doing a polite bow, "Though i have a question, have you ever tried to travel the Beautifly path?" (Should they join him right away?)
@Ignem (only if you'd like them to.) "We've walked the whole road many a time." Ash replied. "It is worth the trip." "We'll waive our usual fee if you want us to go the whole way." Serena offered.
(Maybe not right away) "Yeah, I am going to start my trip today, " he said, "Thank you again for the info." He then headed home to get his tuff so he could head out for his journey.
@Ignem "Safe travels!" Serena smiles. "We'll be patrolling near town if you need us." (If you find Ash and Serena on the road, they will go with you.)
Tyson nodded. He headed back home to get his bag for the trip, got his parents blessings and headed out to the beautifly road.
@Ignem So far, the road was not too crowded. There were travelers arriving in Masara to shop, visit friends or family, or ask Ash and Serena's services. Sometimes, the colorful caravans of traveling theater troupes could also be seen coming to Mayul, or going to Tokiwa, the next major city on the route. But for now, your first destination is the Temple of the Foxy Emperor.
Tyson took a deep breathe before taking his first step into the Beautifly road. He was ecstatic, to see what kind of adventures await him on this road. To make sure he was going the right way he checked his map to see the first destination, being Temple of Foxy Emperor.
@Ignem The temple is not far from Masara. Assuming conditions are good, the average traveler gets there before nightfall. Ash's and Serena's typical patrol route extends a little farther, to River Cape Station--the first post station on the route.
After quite a bit of walking Tyson reached the temple. "It was not that far wonder why we never came here, " Tyson muttered admiring the temple. He looked at the sky seeing it was day so he could see the temple from the inside. "Lets see it from inside!" He said entering the temple.
@Ignem Inside was just as magnificent as the outside, with statues everywhere depicting a Beautifly species that was dark brown with orange spots. All the Beautifly temples were monuments to the same things--peace, freedom, and the spirit of the people. To visit them all was the dream of a lifetime.
"It looks so beautiful, " Tyson said aweing at the interior of the temple. He was so mesmerized by it that he lost the track of time.
@Ignem (You can if you like, but it's not required--at the very least, most visitors sign the visitor's log)
(Alright) He signed the visitors log then did a small prayer. He had nothing to offer at the time but he was happy he could pray. After that he headed out.
