@Ignem The sun was beginning to set. The nearest inn was the Bountiful Harvest Inn, but if he wanted to go further, River Cape Station was a few miles away from the inn. Camping out near the temple was another option.
"I think i would be able to reach the nearest inn by night fall?" he said. He then continued to walk on the road of his adventure.
@Ignem The Bountiful Harvest Inn was not far from the temple, but there was also the large cave nestled in the forest nearby, named Great Mouth Cave. No one knew for for sure what was in Great Mouth Cave, but the local children often spent a night there as a test of courage. Nearly all the time, the children would always come home in one piece. The adults wanted to take no chances of yokai or monsters inside, and often forbid the children to go inside.
(Nearly?) Tyson looked around as he walked on the road to the nearest inn. He was passing by a forest when he stopped and looked to see. "There is a cave here which I was forbidden to enter, " he muttered, "well no one can stop me now." he said entering the forest to look for the cave, forgetting about the inn.
@Ignem The cave is dim, the only lights being crystals embedded in the walls. Your heart quickens as you remember schoolyard rumors of children venturing into the cave and never returning. Those stories couldn't possibly be true...could they?
Tyson immediately regretted his idea of entering the cave. He brought his dagger out and kept on his guard.
@Ignem The only sounds are water dripping, and Zubats fluttering as they sleep above you. The glittering crystals provide just enough light to see. Usually those on a challenge to stay the night camp in these well lit spaces.
He slowly stepped through the cave holding his dagger infront of him. He knew how to use the dagger a bit but he was not an expert at it. He continued to walk through his heart beating faster.
@Ignem The way through the cave is long, and it gets darker at every turn. Luckily, there are enough crystals to see where you are going. That and the wild Pokémon here are more afraid of you than you are of them.
@Ignem Once you finally do reach the bottom, you see a large turtle like creature sleeping peacefully in a large grotto that resembles a garden. Its large black body and shiny black shell with golden stripes and patterns on it glitter in the crystal's light. Despite there being no sun or moon, the flowers and trees surrounding the turtle still bloom. Finally, it opens an eye and sees you. "Hail, traveler from the surface. I am Genbu--guardian of the earth and all within it."
Tyson sighed in relief that it was mot some yokai here that will take away his soul. He then heard the Turtle introduce himself. "Uh... My name is Tyson, I am from Masara, " he said.
@Ignem (Finding the Four World Guardians--Genbu the Black Turtle, Seiryu the Blue Dragon, Byakko the White Tiger, and Suzaku the Red Phoenix--is very lucky indeed. They can teach you powerful unarmed and armed divine martial arts)
@Ignem Genbu looks you over. "I see you are a strong young man with a pure heart. The way to the Aiiro City is long, and full of danger. If you like, I can teach you a form of my Divine Black Turtle Arts as a way to protect yourself on the road."
"Martial Arts?" he asked the powerful turtle infront of him. He thought about it for a while before nodding in agreement.
