@Ignem (so the style he would learn is Divine Black Turtle Knife) "Very well, Tyson--would you prefer to learn an unarmed or an armed style?" Genbu asked.
@Ignem "All right...is there any particular weapon you wish to wield?" Genbu asks. "If you do not have the weapon you would like, I will grant you one--a divine weapon that will not break, and always strike true so long as you wield it with honor and respect."
"Uh.. I have this dagger, " he said pulling out his steel dagger. It was a really cheap dagger that would break pretty easily. How did he knew, the weapon smith told him.
@Ignem A smile formed on Genbu's face. "From humble beginnings, a divine weapon arises." With that, he breathes on the dagger, transforming it into a holy dagger that resembles the black and gold on his shell--including a black and gold blade.
Tyson awed at how the simple dagger got transformed so much. He looked at it and touched its blade, gently ran across it he could feel that it definitely became sharper than it was. "That's so cool!" he said.
@Ignem Genbu smiles. "This is a gift from me. So long as you wield it with honor and respect, it will never fail you when you need it most." (Seiryu, Byakko, and Suzaku can also grant you gifts and teach you their arts.)
"Thank you very much, I'll cherish it, " he said giving a polite bow to him in respect and as thanks as well. But his training has not started yet. So he waited Genbu to start his training.
@Ignem Genbu proved to be a great teacher. After several weeks, Tyson had a good grasp of the divine art, but the way of mastery is a long one. After bidding Genbu farewell, he was back on the road again, to River Cape Station.
When Tyson stepped out of the cave it was daylight. He had lost the track of time in the cave, but he would be able to reach his next stop the river cape station before the day ends, with that he continued his trek.
(I think a bandit attack? So he can test how he did in the training session. Plus can we do the OOC in the signups and discussion thread?)
@Ignem (OOC will only be posted in the signups in discussion thread if it involves worldbuilding or other info, or housekeeping--on the fly questions can be posted here) At first, the way to the station was uneventful. But as the day wears on, you notice black cloaks and eyes watching you from the brush--bandits, waiting for a perfect opportunity to strike.
(Okay) Tyson stopped in his tracks when he felt another presence around him. Training with Genbu heightened his senses quite a bit. He looked at the bushes eyeing it carefully.
@Ignem "Aw, way to ruin an ambush..." a bandit complains as the gang of bandits emerge from the brush--your heightened senses gave them away! "We'll make dis easy for ya..." one offers. "Jus' give us ya cash, and we'll see ya on your way, K?"
"Uh.... no?" Tyson said his hand going for his dagger. He is not going to attack first, but he will definitely attack the last. He waited for the bandits to make a move.
@Ignem "Oh ya wanna fight, den?" the bandit challenges as the others draw their blades. "Lessee how your puny lil' knife holds up to our blades!" But the bandits do not realize your divine knife would easily best their swords...
"Sure why not?" Tyson said. He had not pulled his dagger out just yet. He was waiting for the bandits to make a move. His hand was on his dagger which was on his belt on his back.
