The Group's Schedule for This Year's Fall Festival

The Trio and Serena are a well loved and anticipated presence at the seasonal festivals every year, amazing and delighting audiences with their mastery of traditional Kantonian and Johtonian arts. To keep their schedules manageable, they typically do three individual things and one or two group things each day.

For this year's Fall Festival, their schedule looks like this (so far):

    Monday

    Ash's schedule:

martial arts demo (Arcanine style one handed sword--one of Ash's best armed arts)
concert (bansi; the ancient Kantonian and Johtonian side blown flute, famed for being the hero's instrument in ancient theater. Has a very distinct and piercing sound)
acrobatics (warrior dance; a kind of performance that is one part gymnastics, and one part martial arts demo; usually done to music)

    Misty's schedule:

martial arts demo (Suicune twin blades)
    running the Goldeen game
martial arts demo (blade dancing; a kind of sport and art done with the twin blades. The performer does an acrobatic routine that simulates a battle with the twin blades, backed by a drum. Misty has found the Galarian frame drum works well for the blade dance, so Brock backs her)

    Brock's schedule:

concert (storytelling, accompanied by the vina, the ancient Kantonian and Johtonian harp)
    martial arts demo (Raikou archery)
    concert (vina)

    Serena's schedule:

ribbon dance (tsubon; literally "pipe dance", since it is accompanied by the kibakofue; an unusual traditional Kantonian and Johtonian instrument best described as a cross between a harmonica and a pipe organ. It has a strong yet soothing panpipe-like sound. Both Misty and Serena can play it, but when Serena does a tsubon show, Misty plays the accompaniment)
ribbon dance (yuudaibon; literally "grand dance", this kind of ribbon dancing is usually seen in the ancient theater, performed by the lead heroine and backed by the vina)
    concert (kibakofue)

    Group activities:

Tawame play ("Heroes Battle the Ten Dragons")

Does the cosplay contest have any particular themes every time?

There are divisions for Coolest Costume, Most Beautiful, Scariest, Most Creative, and so on, but you are not limited in what your costume is (provided it is appropriate for school, since you are in a school setting)

    The Festival Masquerade

One of the most anticipated events of the seasonal festival is the cosplay contest, where students and mentors are encouraged to dress up as anime, game, TV show, and even book characters, with prizes going to the best costume and the best skits.

The contest takes place in two parts:

--The Parade of Characters, where you walk on, show off your costume, and walk off for the judges
--The Festival Masquerade, where you perform a skit in character

As you are in a school setting, your costume and skit needs to be appropriate for school, so roughly E10+/PG at the most

The skits for the masquerade are divided into Music, Dance, Comedy, Drama, Athletics, and Misc. divisions. If your skit fits into more than one category, it is a good idea to enter it in the category that fits it best.
