"Well..." Nora hesitated for a moment. "I've been here all this time, actually. Haven't gone to any other schools before."
"Really? I only transferred here a while ago, actually, about at the beginning of the school term, and was accepted for orchestra." Arin responded.
Nora nodded, albeit a little bit embarrassed. "I mean, this is my first year here and I haven't gone anywhere else before," she muttered. And then curiosity ensued. Again. "But wait, have you ever gone to another school before?"
"Well, I actually only came to Kanto a while ago to study here. I've been enrolled in several local schools as my family moved sometimese, about three or four, where we were taught the basics. I convinced my parents to let me enrol here, but only if I continue with outside tutoring as well to keep up." Arin explained.
@SAF @ChocoChicken (still hanging back until this scene is over--will decide who you see practicing then.)
Again, Nora nodded. That's a lot... she thought. Sure, her father was a scholar, but he's not that strict when it comes to his children's paths of life. Plus, as far as her education went, Nora was taught basic things like reading, writing and basic math, for those being the main gateways to every other knowledges in the world. And then Nora suddenly remembered to apply for the masquerade. "Oh! I- sorry, gotta go, bye," she hastily said bye to Arin and rushed to the arts building where the sign-ups were. I hope it's still open...
@SAF Luckily, there was still plenty of spots open, but a line was starting to form. Those that wanted to sign up had to give three choices of nights for the week--if you didn't get your first choice, you'd get one of your other two.
Oh boy... Nora immediately joined in the line of applicants, waiting for her turn with Ava riding on her head, as usual.
@SAF Luckily, the line moved quickly, and before long, it was Nora's turn to fill out the paperwork. (which of the group do you want to catch practicing for the festival? Ash will be practicing a bansi solo--the ancient Kantonian and Johtonian sideblown flute. Misty will be practicing a blade dance (with Brock doing the drumming), Brock will be practicing a vina solo--the ancient Kantonian and Johtonian harp. Serena will be practicing a ribbon dance with recorded music)
As soon as Nora got her turn, she immediately asked whoever in charge of the sign-ups, "Excuse me, is the masquerade's music division still open?"
@SAF "There's still plenty of spots open for the Music division." the coordinator assured her. "Is there a specific night you wish to perform?"
"Hmm..." Nora thought for a moment. "Just not the first night, please," she requested. This was her first time and she needed to know exactly what she had been wading into.
@SAF "Is Thursday night okay?" the attendant asked. "We still have plenty of openings in the Music division for that night."
The brunette girl nodded. Thursday night sounded good for her. Hopefully it would allow her to (re)watch her anime reference and prepare things accordingly.
@SAF "Okay, you're in the music division for Thursday, so you have about a week to practice your skit." the attendant explained. "You will receive performance instructions and skit guidelines later today.."
"Okay, thank you," Nora nodded, thanking the attendant before going off. She honestly wasn't sure what to perform, though. (I did mention Liebesleid, but lemme watch Your Lie in April again to make sure...)
(Aighty. I seriously need to watch YLiA again tho. ._. And as for this: I don't mind whichever, so let's see what @ChocoChicken wants first.)
