    All Marissa could say at Dawn's story was a somewhat awkward "O-oh..." right before an Alolan Vulpix came to the camp. The little guy looked desperate to the point that Marissa felt something off about them.

    "Waitaminute..." the sight of a somewhat familiar Vulpix made Marissa wince. She slowly approached the distressed Vulpix, then crouched down and asked, "Hello. I think Kaimana is-" only to be cut off by the Fox Pokémon running away. The catch? Neither Kantonian nor Alolan Vulpix have Run Away as their ability. "W-wait!!!" Marissa stood up and ran to the white Vulpix's direction.

    (Iirc the Kubfu's control is still with Wave in case Emiyou and/or Chika wanna tag along.)

    The chase soon ended near a Pokémon Den where the Alolan Vulpix looking back to see if anyone followed them. They desperately looked back and forth between Marissa and the den, practically begging to save someone from the den. "Eh? Your sibling's in there?" Marissa made a wild guess to which the poor Vulpix confirmed with a nod. She then turned to her Kubfu (who had been tagging along) upon realizing that they would be roped into a max raid battle and told her, "Emiyou, can you please go get help? I can't fight alone here."

    Marissa let out a rather dejected sigh at the Kubfu's question. The cause for her needing help here should be obvious among Galarian folks. But to be fair though, they probably hadn't ever ventured out from the Kikuzu Dojo until she and Cobalt, uh, had graduated (?) from there.

    "Cobalt and Dawn, maybe?" the redhead suggested. "It usually takes four trainers to take down a Dynamaxed Pokémon in a den like this. They're so huge that one can't expect to defeat them alone."

    She smiles when she sees a red dot, a blue dot, and a green dot close to where we are. "There they are...

    After fumbling for a walkie talkie, she tries contacting Ash. "Shining Pearl calling Ruby Hero, SOS!"
