Group RP Pokemon: The Journey of Evolution

Cobalt rushed in behind Marissa and Sniper. Chika was still outside his Pokéball. He sent out Charizard just in case things went south.

 

Cobalt sends out his Lucario. "Lucario can you sense any aura of an Alolan Vulpix?" Cobalt asks the Lucario. The Lucario nods and closes his eyes trying to concentrate.

 

(Sorry for the delay, folks. I'm splitting this post in three parts for two POVs.)

By the time Sniper caught the desperate Vulpix, they had gone far ahead from the group. He cradled them in his arms, reassuring them "Now, now, we're way ahead from the humans. Let's wait for them to come along, okay?" That said, Sniper launched a Snipe Shot at the corridor where they came from, then a second one a moment later. Arceus, please... let it reach her...

Welp, great. Two paths ahead and Marissa had already lost Sniper's track. At the heat of the moment, she didn't even realize whose help Dawn ended up getting. But soon she realized that she knew one of the new people from his gaming streams. "Pewter... Song?"

SPLASH!!!

A splash of Snipe Shot caught Marissa off guard. "What the...?" she ranted, thinking it was a prank until a second Snipe Shot came from the right path. That, and Cobalt's Lucario could sense the auras of an Inteleon and an Alolan Vulpix coming from there. Marissa shot an arrow at the right path and called out, "C'mon guys, this way!" before running off herself.

A moment after the second Snipe Shot was launched, an arrow came from the corridor. The Inteleon promptly caught it and recognized its Primarina color scheme, thus concluding that it must be Marissa's arrow. C'mon now sis, can't let that baby fox waiting...

 

(Perhaps... trying to catch up with Marissa? Or narrative-wise, should I omit the spoiler tags in my previous post?)

 

Lucario after a while sensed the aura and signalled the group to follow him.

 

(Aight aight, done editing. And just to clarify, Marissa got a Snipe Shot in the face and she shot an arrow in response.)

 

Lucario continues to run in the direction of the aura, Cobalt following right behind him.

 

Soon enough, the group found Sniper carrying the Alolan Vulpix in one arm. He waved the arrow from before with his free hand and ran off again as the group got closer, eventually reaching the deepest part of the den.

(Okay, who's controlling the big boss again?)

(Aight then. Since the whole max raid thing was my idea, I'll control the big boss as well. )

Ominous. It's the best descriptor for the current situation in the den. A giant Drapion could be seen cornering another Alolan Vulpix -- not the one Sniper had been carrying. That, and Marissa could sense a lot of Dynamax Energy in the air, some of which entering her Dynamax Band. "Dynamax... Drapion???" she muttered only for the Ogre Scorpion Pokémon to notice the group's presence. Their aggravating roar sure was intimidating, yeah. But Marissa managed to pull herself together somehow.

(I'll wait for everyone's responses before stating Marissa's first action.)

 

"Let's go Charizard!"Cobalt says signalling his fire type starter. Charizard jump flies and then lands into the battle.

Upon emerging from her Pokéball, Vivian the Flygon gave a surprised "Huh?" when Sniper gave the Alolan Vulpix from before to her and the arrow to Marissa. In response, the girl instructed as she took the arrow and put it back to the quiver, "Vivi, get the babies outta here. Emiyou, back us up in case anything's wrong. Sniper, you ready?" Both Vivian and Sniper nodded before flying off to rescue the two white Vulpix and bracing himself for the battle, respectively.

Unlike everyone else, Marissa recalled Sniper back to his Pokéball only for her to enlarge it with the Dynamax Energy stored in her Dynamax Band and throw it back to the battlefield. What Marissa didn't see coming, however, was how Sniper actually transformed. He didn't simply turn into a giant Inteleon. Instead, he now had a much longer tail forming a tower of some sorts for him to stand on as well as a small blue harpoon attached to one of his index fingers. What the...?

As if on cue, Marissa's Rotom Phone popped out on its own and identified Sniper's new form: Gigantamax Inteleon. It also informed that an Inteleon's water-type moves in their Gigantamax form will turn into G-Max Hydrosnipe instead of Max Geyser.

(Tl;dr, this is basically Sniper showcasing his Gigantamax form for the first time. And question to everyone: who wanna make the first move?)

 

"So that's Gigantamax, " Cobalt muttered looking at now towering Sniper. He then looked at the giant Drapion and said, "And that's Dynamax." His hand went to the inner pocket of his jacket and pulled out a black bracelet with a stone embedded into it.

"My turn!" He says as he slips up the bracelet onto his left hand. "Alright, Charizard let's go full power!" He says as he touches the stone. The stone on Cobalt's bracelet emits streaks of light. At the same time, the stone Charizard had on the ornament on his neck also emits streaks of lights. The streaks join as Charizard begins to glow. As the glowing stops, everyone sees that its body and legs are more physically fit, though its arms remain thin. Its skin turns black with a sky-blue underside and soles. Two spikes with blue tips curve upward from the front and back of each shoulder, while the tips of its horns sharpen, turn blue, and curve slightly upward. Its brow and claws are larger, and its eyes are now red. It has two small, fin-like spikes under each horn and two more down its lower neck. The finger disappears from the wing membrane, and the lower edges are divided into large, rounded points. The third joint of each wing-arm is adorned with a claw-like spike. Charizard has mega evolved to Charizard X

"Alright let's start with Dragon Dance!" Cobalt hollers. Charizard roars as he flaps his wings getting covered in some flaring dragon energy, raising its speed and attack.
