@Arod @ChocoChicken Brock started a victorious song. "After cutting off a scale as a battle-trophy, Hero returned to Freetown. The mayor gave him a lot of money and the key to the city as thanks for his brave deed." He smiled at the crowd. "Needless to say, the land was not bothered by dragon Pokémon for a good long while." "Hero continued Wandering after this, but that's a new yarn for a new day!" Misty interjected as the crowd applauded.
Hearing the end of the tale, a small smile appeared on Chris's face. The storyteller was experienced, that was for sure. Perhaps someday, he, too, could try his hand at telling a tale of his own...
(He's currently thinking of something. He might do an adventure tale like the one Brock told, but probably not now - he's a little underprepared. He might play a tune or two on that flute of his, though, if he were to perform right now.)
@ChocoChicken Misty noticed the young Taka thinking hard. "Take your time--we're not in any hurry to get anywhere." she assured him.
Startled by Misty talking to him, the young Taka boy jumped. "Uh... um..." Frantically, he regained his footing. This was it, then. His first chance to perform. Slowly - and hoping that he looked calm - Chris removed his flute from its case, and began to play. Despite not being perfect, the simple performance he put on wasn't too bad. (An example of a song he might try would be this. )
@ChocoChicken The four Wanderers listened as the young Taka took a well loved flute and played a beautiful waltz-like dance. Ash's applause was the most enthusiastic. "That was beautiful! Does that tune have a name, or sheet music?"
Despite his nervousness, Chris produced the sheet music from a small bag, handing it to Ash with both hands. "Thank you..."
@ChocoChicken (I'll give it an in universe name) "Waltz of the Spirits, huh..." Ash mused. "Probably would work in harmonica tabs too..." "I'll do my best to transcribe it to tabs--both the harmonica kind and the guitar kind--later." Brock smiles.
