Sign Up/Discussion Pokemon: The Rings of Glenios (signup and discussion)

The basic premise:

Long ago in Glenios, a fantasy Pokeworld far from the one we know, the people believe all life came from the Prism Ring, a ring of light visible from any point in the world. The Prism Ring was in turn made of millions of other elemental rings. So far, sixteen different kinds have been identified:

Three of these rings formed the Balance of Virtue--Power, Wisdom and Courage

Eight more created the base elements that made up the world--Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, Ice, Thunder, Sol, and Luna

The remaining five created the world mortals reside in--the Sky above, the earth below, full of Nature, the Arcane wonders of magic, the Divine power of the Legendary Pokémon, and the Song within the people's hearts.

But one day, the Prism Ring began to lose its luster. The only way to restore the rainbow light and banish the evil draining the rainbow energy was to find the sixteen Master Rings, hidden in sixteen well guarded dungeons.

Can a group of four best friends work together to restore the Prism Ring? For bowmage Ash, Blue Dragon knight Misty, Minstrel Brock, runeblade Serena, plus several more companions, it is a quest of a lifetime, and more.

Your character's name
Your character's age (anywhere from 13-17)
Your character's basic appearance
Your character's class (chosen from the list below)
Your character's known abilities (pick anywhere from two to four reasonable abilities that a level 1 character of your class might have)
Your character's basic personality and known history
Your character's initial inventory (what is your character currently carrying?)

List of Classes

Warrior (wields swords)
Fighter (wields a glove-like weapon called a knuckle)
Ranger (wields a bow)
Cleric (wields a staff or a rod)
Mage (wields a dagger or a rod)
Rogue (wields a dagger or shortsword)
Minstrel (wields any easily carried instrument, such as harps, lutes, flutes, and so on)
Runeblade (wields a rapier)


Rules

All forum rules apply

--No taking control of other people's characters without permission from the other person
--No killing off other characters
--No godmodding

--This will be a turn based adventure--I will set up an encounter, then the participants act accordingly.

--Combat will be determined by a random number generator set from 1 to 100-- 50 is the minimum to score a hit or defend, anything below that will count as a miss, with anything below 25 a critical fail. Conversely, anything above 75 will count as a major success or critical hit.

This is supposed to be a fantasy (something like The Legend of Zelda, early Final Fantasy, or Dragon Quest), so make sore your character's gear reflects this.

Rangers tend to draw magic from nature, so pick skills that would reflect that. (If you need ideas, I can send you some)

By personality and known history, I mean what is your character's personality, and what is their backstory? How did they get to be who they are?
