Ariel stretched and sat up, having slept curled up beside a decorative plant at the end of a hallway in the inn. She rose to her feet and found her way back to the entrance.
@Laserdragon14 @BZRich64 @ShireHime @Tala The inn bustled with activity as many of its guests departed. Some decided to stay for breakfast before embarking on heir journey again. Brock was one of these, munching on a sweet bun while reading over a letter of introduction to the Taka chief.
Amara decided to eat some bread while waiting for everyone and their new schedule that they will be having for this day. "Hmm, this is tasty."
@Laserdragon14 @BZRich64 @ShireHime @Tala "This is merely a letter introducing ourselves to the chief, and why we travel." Brock explained. "I've lost track of how many times I've had to rewrite it..."
"When are we going to meet with the Taka Chief?" Windripper asked. "And I'm sure that the Chief will help us with our quest even if you somehow miswrote it."
@Laserdragon14 Brock offered Windripper the letter. "Would you like to look it over and make sure I wrote everything with the proper respect?"
@Laserdragon14 (Brock has very good command of spelling and grammar--he just wants to know if his letter conveys the proper level of respect to the Taka chief.)
@Laserdragon14 Brock gave Windripper the paper. His heart pounded a little at what the Taka warrior would find--did he unintentionally use the wrong level of respect, or the wrong dialect for the letter?
@Laserdragon14 (Basically, Brock wrote the letter at a formal level, being careful not to include anything that would be considered insulting of condescending to the chief and/or his family. Taka value honor, so he made sure to appeal to their honor and pride)
"It's fine like it is," Windripper replied as he handed back the letter with a smile. "You write very well, Brock. I know that the Chief will help us, especially with this letter."
@Laserdragon14 "Brock has a way with words, and he's not afraid to flaunt it sometimes." Misty smiles. "Doesn't matter if he is writing or speaking, either." Ash agrees.
"I feel honored to have Brock as one of my traveling companions. I could feel that he had his own special way with words as soon as I first met him," Windripper replied with a small bow.
