Hey everyone, Pixel here with your regular dose of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon news for Lake Valor!

So, with this new game, the Alola region has undergone some changes. Luckily for you, I'm here to point out all the changes on each island in the Alola region, even down to the tiniest details! Without further ado, let's get started!

First up, we have Melemele Island.

Right off the bat, most people will notice that the empty plot of land has now been filled by the new building seen in the trailer. However, there are other changes to Melemele Island visible in the map when the two are compared side-by-side. As a disclaimer, I'd like to mention that a lot of the buildings change colour. This isn't indicative of a new design in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, but it is most likely an effect created from the setting sun in the map.

Anyway, onto the differences. Following the route the player takes in Pokémon Sun and Moon, the first change is that the Hau'oli City Shopping Mall has had a change in design, going from a brown building to a black one that seems to also have an extra storey. Moving on, there is an obvious beach added to Route 2, behind where the motel is. The small beach east of Iki Town has also grown larger.

Next up, we have Akala Island.

Using the same method as before, we can follow the route the player takes, and notice straight away that there is a new beach added behind the Tide Song Hotel, as well as a building filling the empty plot next to the Pokémon Center in Heahea City. The next change can be seen on Royal Avenue, where a building has been added beside the Malasada Shop, east of the Pokémon Center. The final new additions can be seen in Konikoni City, where a building was placed north of the Pokémon Center, and a second red gate was built at the opposite end of the town to where the original gate stands.

Moving on, we're headed to Ula'ula Island.

Once again, we'll follow the player's journey, starting in Malie City. A building with an orange roof has been built in the empty plot of land south of the library, continuing the trend we've seen so far. Moving on, there is a white, rectangular structure built against the cliff wall in the Secluded Shore on Route 12. Heading towards Poni Town, we see the first instance of an empty plot of land that isn't occupied by a new building, and this trend continues with the empty plot of land on Route 15. Although it's a small detail, it seems that the rain clouds have parted from Po Town, which could indicate that it no longer constantly rains there. Finally, there is an odd black structure located where the gate to the Pokémon League is.

Finally, we'll go to the island with the biggest change, Poni Island.

Using the same method as every other map, we'll start in Seafolk Village, where another empty plot of land remains empty, making 3 out of the 7 empty plots of land to continue being empty. Apart from that, there's nothing else different about Poni Island, or at least from what we can see. After all, there is a giant swirling vortex above it. Did I forget to mention that? Oh, whoops! Well, it's there, plain as day.

So, that's it for the in-depth map analysis. Before you comment down below "what about Aether Paradise?", there were no changes at all between the Sun and Moon Ather Paradise and the Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Aether Paradise, sans the colours due to the lighting. Make sure you stay tuned to Lake Valor, where there'll be more in-depth analysis on any information given about Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. This is Pixel, signing out until next time!
