So the Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel dropped an official trailer for Dusk Lycanroc a couple days ago, and naturally, I decided to watch it. As nice as it was to see the trailer for it, one thing really stood out to me about the trailer: there's battle music playing in the background of the video, which sounds particularly close to the Wild battle theme from SM. If you wanna hear the music, just go to the video linked below. (To hear just the theme, its at 0:10-0:42) So what are your thoughts on this theme, and are there some particular themes you hope will be changed in USM? To me, I feel like I'm going to really enjoy these games for the soundtrack, as the theme in the video really makes me feel like I'm getting a boost of energy. I'm hoping that more themes will get this more 'modernized' like this in the future!
I like it, I really enjoy hearing a different take on an older track. it's much like how BW2 redid part of soundtrack from BW. It really helps to set it apart from the previous game while still retaining the region's memorable musical scores. The soundtrack is always one of the things I really look forward to in a new Pokémon game and I'm psyched to hear more of it, though I usually try to avoid it as much as possible before the actual release, haha. EDIT: Sorry I kind of missed the question in the OP. I'm really interested in hearing a potential different version of Team Skull's battle theme, if team skull returns that is.
I can't wait to hear what the Elite Four theme sounds like. Sun and Moon's E4 theme was so intense and fitting that it would be amazing if they cpuld top that and improve it even more. If other past trainers make cameos like how Red and Blue did, it would be awesome if they had remixed themes as well.
Ahhhhh, I just listened to that just now actually! I have to say, even though the official music hasn't been released, these people are doing a fine job of remastering what we've heard!
I think it is a remix of the SM wild theme and it sounds pretty good. I am hoping for a remix of the E4 themes, like Bloom also said.
I didn't like that particular battle theme, but considering that most of SM's tracks are really good, I expect that the USM tracks will be great as well! I want to hear remastered Aether Foundation themes, I think that would be cool.
As long as Gladion's theme stays badass and generally similar, I'm good. I'm kind of just hoping to change the Ride Pokémon theme, since it really grinds on my nerves after a while. Maybe if they made it more classical or rock, I'd like it better. But not upbeat because hatching eggs is tedious enough without that peppy godawful noise in my ears The remixed soundtracks...*faints* I HEAR HEAVEN #MissingNo
