    What do you think about the Kanto war theory?

    "You have no father, and your best friend is an orphan.

    Children are going to a journey around the world.

    Your mother accepts you as the man of the house, making your own decisions.

    Old man warns you of dangers around the corner.

    Most people you meet are children and/or gym leaders.

    Most adult men are either very old, or have a job related to the military or organized crime.

    Hospitals and gyms are everywhere, but no forms of entertainment such as movie theaters.

    There was most definitely a war in Kanto. There was also one in Kalos. They weren't the same. Pokémon trainers just love war :D

    well there has many time been showed to have been war in the Pokémon universe, I'm sure they showed it once in the anime too
    I think Lt. Surge is American while the rest of Kanto is Japanese, or at least a nation based on Japan all the way up to the 4th gen. it's possible the war could be the Pokémon worlds equal to the WW? Anyways the war doesn't have to have been in Kanto, it could have been fought far away. Also had there been was in Kanto there most like also had been in Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh, or at least just Johto, but I don't remember to have heard much about wars in Johto.

    The kanto war seem legit and cool to think about, especially when you have to question WHO they want to war with?
    I want to be the one to give food to the thought right now, so think about this: Is it possible that Kanto and Kalos want to war with each other, but Kanto lost?
    I mean it is possible to me because when Ash want to Unova and he met Trip in the anime, and told him, he's from Kanto, he taunted him saying "Oh, you're from the 'boonies'". This could be saying that kanto is the poorest region after the war ended as result of losing, because we all know that Kanto is not big on the economic and agricultural district, however, Kalos is as result of winning the war.
    So? What do you guys think? :)

    Kanto war theory is very interesting, but when you realize it's a Pokémon game for children, I don't really think that the whole war concept was ever there when the developers made the game, rather just a few coincidences that could be related with a post-war type scenario.

    However, as we know there was a war in Kalos, so we know that wars do happen in the Pokémon world. Who with though? I guess it could be like the French revolution or something - Kalos breaking away from another region. Very interested to learn more about the Kalos war, though sadly I don't think we will.

    Didn't the war in Kalos take place 1000.years ago or something. Of the sort? Or did I miss something? Depending on when the ears happens, it's not unlikely that a war took place between kanto and kalos.

    I believe it was 3000 years, so that chance is almost 0

    There was also one 300 years before X/Y, but that was a different war, and it would still be way to early to be the war that Kanto would've had according to the theory.
