I came to Lake Valor from fanfiction.net, and I have yet to actually write anything. I applied for a writing position, so I might as well show my creative side to my writing as well. I hope you guys enjoy this story. I have been having it go on for a little bit in my head, so I hope you enjoy!

Terrell Magnus sat in the main room of his house in Cerulean City, listening to the distant thunder roar. Heavy rain pounded on the windows of the house so hard, that they echoed through the long, silent halls. In the distance, if he heard just right, he could have heard the explosions of a nearby Pokémon Battle. This wasn't just any battle. There was a civil war happening in Kanto, and he had yet to be dragged into it. The rise of Team Rocket had led to Kanto being split into two parts: the Classic Kantonians and the New Age Kantonians.

The New Age Kantonians supported a government under the direction of Team Rocket and the Classic Kantonians supported living in peace without a government. The New Age Kantonians had taken control of most of the southwestern part of Kanto. They had control of Cinnabar Island (which was their capital), Pallet Town, Viridian City, Pewter City, Celadon City and Fuschia City The Classic Kantonians only held Vermillion City, Cerulean City, Lavender Town, Saffron City, and the Indigo Plateau. The New Age Kantonians had a glaring advantage in numbers, but they couldn't match the strategy of the Classics (they will be called New Agers and Classics). They were currently at a stalemate in multiple locations and the frontier didn't look too bright for either of them. People and Pokémon were dying left and right and the war had amounted to almost nothing.

Terrell Magnus had slumped into a heavy sleep while watching a TV program. He was an ex-trainer who found his way through life now as a Pokémon Adopter. He ran an adoption program and he gave Pokémon to all sorts of people. He was payed by most people, but he gave away a select few to some little kids. He loved his job more than anything in the whole wide world. He wouldn't trade it for anything. He had a wife named Karen and a two-year-old son named Jamal. He was 22 years old and had a great life.

His life changed when the Fire Nation attacked soldiers pounded on his door. He jumped out of his seat and ran to answer the door. As soon as he opened the door, a dozen soldiers spilled into his house.

Terrell demanded, "What in the world are you doing to my house? I didn't give you permission!"

The head soldier said, "Rumor has it that you breed Pokémon and sell them. We need Pokémon to help our cause in the war."

Terrell felt outraged. He said, "You don't have the right to my Pokémon."

"Actually, we do," said the soldier,"A few Pokémon could mean all of the difference in this war and besides, you have a whole bunch of rare Pokémon from a lot of different regions. You won't need them. We will compensate for you after we win the wa..."

Terrell couldn't take it anymore, so he picked up the coat rack and bashed it into the soldier's face. The other soldier's were already all over his house, so he had to take action quickly. He went into the kitchen and grabbed the knife sharpener. It was a heavy, blunt object and would knock out the soldiers. He had to check on his wife, so he ran upstairs. There were 3 soldiers in the room that were terrorizing her. One of them was having their Gengar use Confuse Ray on her.

Terrell sent out his prime Pokémon Electivire and said, "Use Thunderbolt now!" Thunderbolt knocked out all of the men and the Gengar. He told his wife, "I'm gonna go find the Pokémon now. Go ahead and hide."

Terrell had taken down 4 of the 12. 4 down, 8 to go. He ran next into the Pokémon Breeding Center. There was a man at the entrance who tried to stop him, but he went down to a well placed knife sharpener. Electivire ran behind Terrell and broke down the locked door of the Breeding Center. The remaining 7 men were taking Pokeballs and stuffing them into bags. Terrell could only hit one with the knife sharpener before he was seen.

The soldiers all sent out their Pokémon to fight him. They had a wide variety of Pokémon. There was a Ninetales, Arcanine, Poliwrath, Sandslash, Raichu, and a Exeggutor. Terrell had to fight them all at once, so he sent out his team of choice.

First their was Electivire. Electivire was his first Pokémon that he had found as an Elekid. He was the first person in history to discover Elekid. Before he could tell anybody about it, it evolved into Electabuzz. His journeys through Sinnoh had gotten him the right item to evolve it. Electivire was extremely loyal and would do anything for Terrell.

Next was Nidoking. Nidoking was very aggressive. Nidoking always picked fights with the other members of Terrell's team until Electivire gave him a good beating. Nidoking was one of Adrian's best Pokémon and showed raw brute power and force.

Then there was Kingdra. Kingdra was generally very bashful until it got on the Pokémon field. Kingdra was extremely fast and agile and could outmaneuver even the fastest of Pokémon.

Following Kingdra was Aerodactyl. Aerodactyl was the fastest member of Terrell's team and moved with unprecedented speed. Once, Aerodactyl got caught up in a battle with the legendary Zapdos and came out the unexpected winner. Aerodactyl was hotheaded and didn't think, but Aerodactyl was also great friends with Nidoking.

Tauros was his next Pokémon. Tauros was actually rather gentle for its breed. It enjoyed being pet and it liked playing and eating a lot of food. Tauros was extremely dangerous on the battlefield just like the rest of Terrell's Pokémon.

And lastly, there was Arbok. Arbok didn't really get along with the rest of theme, but it was very dangerous. Terrell almost died in his first encounter with it. Arbok had poisoned him and he barely got away. It took him years to train to be able to catch it. After a very long time, he caught it and Arbok was just amazingly fast.

Terrell stood alone with only his Pokémon to help him against six well trained soldiers. Terrell said, "You will leave now!!!"

One of the soldiers said, "That isn't happening. We all have mutliple Pokémon and you only have 6. You don't stand a chance."

Terrell yelled, "You don't know anything! ATTACK!"

And that's a wrap! I am going to have to end it here. I hope you guys enjoy my next segment. Peace!

Hello people! I'm gonna try and finish this part bye the time I go to bed tonight, so let's just see how far I get. Thanks to the people who took the time to read it!

Terrell's Pokémon leaped into action on their own. They trained on their own and all knew how to fight independently. The soldiers' Pokémon were not prepared for the courageous and overwhelming attack done by the six lightning-fast Pokémon. Nidoking thrashed Ninetales, Kingdra froze Exeggutor, Aerodactyl flung Sandslash, Arbok squeezed Pikachu, Tauros charged Arcanine and Electivire electrified Poliwrath.

The soldiers' were not expecting their Pokémon to be defeated so quickly, so all they did was flee. Terrell dragged the unconscious bodies out of the house and threw them in the nearby dumpster.

The next morning, Terrell got ready like he normally did and walked outside. The first thing he noticed was that there was a huge mob assembling in front of his house. He recognized them all as the people in Cerulean City that were heavy supporters of the Classics in the War.

One man came up to him and said, "You are under arrest. You are wanted by the Classics for attacking innocent soldiers."

"That's bullcrap!" exclaimed Terrell, "Go tell your leader that I don't care what he does. Tell him to come at me. I don't care. Hit me with his best shot!"

The mob still yelled and didn't move from the spot, so Terrell went inside and locked both bolts on the door. His wife had yet to wake up because it was early in the morning. She had gone through a lot of stress, so it wasn't a good idea to wake her up just yet.

Terrell went to go check on his Pokémon that he bred and took care of. They seemed to be mostly okay, but a few were missing.

He walked back inside to find that the door was being attacked. He quickly sent out Electivire and Nidoking to stop them from coming in, but it was too late. A new large wave of soldiers' Pokémon rushed through the door. Terrell's hall was very long without any doors, so he sent out Tauros. Tauros charged through all of the Pokémon and soldiers as if they were pieces of paper. The hallway would never be the same after getting some action from Tauros.

Terrell heard the back door being pounded too. He sent out Arbok and Kingdra to take care of that. He ran upstairs and sure enough, there were some going through the windows. He felt like he was playing some sort of tower defense game. He left Aerodactyl. Electivire and Nidoking ran around and helped where they were needed. Terrell knew that he could hold them off, but not for this long.

Terrell yelled a few minutes later, "Karen! I'm going to lead them away from the home! I want you to put the Pokémon in the hidden area that I discussed with you about a long time ago!"

Terrell jumped on Tauros and they fled the house through the front door and into the rain that had just started up again. He rode west as hard as Tauros possibly could. All of his Pokémon were keeping up rather well despite Tauros' amazing speed. He ran straight through the battle and wasn't bothered at all by the soldiers on either side.

He yelled to Tauros, "Get us to the entrance of Mt. Moon!"

Tauros was happy to oblige and it jumped over several tall ledges and to the exit of Mt. Moon. Tauros and all of the Pokémon stopped outside of Mt. Moon. They were all breathless and probably couldn't have run much further.

Terrell hadn't brought much with him, so he looked through the backpack to see what he had brought. He didn't remember much through the adrenaline rush that he had had. He had brought a flashlight, his TM case, his Town Map, Pokeballs, a tarp, and a set of dark clothing. He wanted to free his captured Pokémon, so he had to do it at night.

He said to his team, "Let's go check the inside of Mt. Moon to see what is going on."

Tauros stayed behind due to all of the running that it had done, so Terrell took the other five Pokémon. As soon as he entered Mt. Moon, he found something he was not expecting. There were men in workers uniforms everywhere that bore the mark of the New Agers. Upon further investigation, he discovered that they had a factory inside of Mt. Moon. He needed to get a closer look at what they were manufacturing, so he made his way in. He snuck between boxes that were everywhere. They were unlabeled, so he couldn't see what they were. He thought, there has to be something of importance in those boxes. If I can figure it out, I can cripple both sides of the war at the same time.

Terrell found a lone worker who appeared to be on break. He took his handy knife sharpener and bopped him in the back of the head. These guys really should think about getting head gear, thought Terrell. He changed into the uniform and made his way around the area. He soon discovered that they were making new equipment. He opened up a box and found a full set. There was a helmet (bad for him and his amazing knife sharpener), a fire-proof vest, some special kind of glove, nightvision goggles, and fireproof boots. This uniform did not bode well for him. If the New Agers won, then his house could be destroyed or his wife could be harmed. If the Classics won, he would still be an outlaw and would probably be imprisoned.

During his thought process, some other worker noticed that he didn't have the right rank to be looking at boxes, so he notified a higher authority. While he wasn't looking, three men grabbed him and handcuffed him and confiscated his Pokeballs. Terrell said, "Let me go! I'm not a member of the Classics!"

The soldiers didn't seem to care as they brought him to an office that seemed to have been constructed for the project. Inside the office were 6 rolling chairs with plush, thick cushions and a mahogany desk. The man inside was none other than John Tetra: the man behind the New Agers' plans.

Tetra said, "My men tell me that you have been snooping around our base."

Terrell said, "I wanted to see what you were up to."

Tetra asked, "So are you a spy? I will have you detained immediately. Incinera...."

"I am not a spy! I hate the Classics! They tried stealing my Pokémon!" said Terrell.

Tetra said, "Well, since you hate the Classics, then you get to join us. Men! Give him a uniform and get him to the battlefield."

Terrell was left without a chance to put in his input and was given a uniform and was dismissed from Mt. Moon. He was supposed to walk to the battlefield and participate in the battle. Now that he had a uniform, he had a better idea.

And that's the end of part 2! I hope you guys enjoyed it! Please keep reading if you actually like it. I am actually really enjoying this one.

Hello again! I haven't told you guys this, but a lot of these characters are referencing characters from the games/anime. If you can figure them out, good for you! I might do a pokepoint giveaway perhaps... eventually. http://s7d9.scene7.com/is/image/BedBathandBeyond/739910158842p?$229$ also, this is what his knife sharpener looks like.

Terrell sat in the bushes nearby the New Agers. It was foolish of them to think that he would just walk down to the battlefield and join the troops. That wasn't going to happen.

Electivire sat by him in the bushes, just as motionless as his trainer. Terrell had planned that he would attack the New Agers from behind during their next attack on Cerulean City. He didn't like the Classics, but he didn't know how unfairly they would treat his wife.

After a few minutes, the New Agers stirred from their meeting positions and marched towards the place of the upcoming battle. People and Pokémon alike marched side by side. Some had no idea of the cruel fate that would await them that day. This war was unnecessary.

Terrell followed them for a minute or two before falling into their ranks. He sent out Arbok to march beside him as to not arouse suspicion with a rare Pokémon such as Electivire. After they stopped, the man up front screamed some orders with his cracking voice. Everyone else seemed to know what he was saying, so they charged. Terrell decided to charge... so he charged straight through him.

When he looked back on it, it wasn't the smartest idea. Charging on three hundred battle-ready Pokémon trainers wasn't the best idea. He found himself soon overwhelmed after he took down two soldiers. At least twenty soldiers surrounded him and attacked him. He was unable to call on his other Pokémon, so he had to rely on Arbok and Electivire. They fought hard while being severely outnumbered, but it was no use. Just as Arbok and Electivire went down, a tremendous electric shock filled the surrounding area. All of the soldiers and most of the Pokémon fell over from the strength of the shock. In a matter of seconds, an old man with a Pikachu (I'm sorry for doing this. You'll see what I'm doing in the future I hope) and a man riding a Rapidash swooped in and attacked the surrounding men. Further down, Terrell could see more of the back of the New Agers being attacked by a ragtag team. After a few seconds, The man riding the Rapidash helped Terrell up onto Rapidash and rode away quickly up to Cerulean Cape.

The man wouldn't answer any of Terrell's questions. He wouldn't tell him who he was, who he was working for, or why he had attacked the New Agers. They so rode in almost silence. Only the soft thudding of hooves against the ground and the distant explosions of battle were heard.

They entered the cottage without talking. The other man sat down at the table and stared at Terrell. Terrell didn't dare move. The other man looked like he meant business. He was about the height of his Rapidash and he had nose-length brown hair.

After a few minutes, a bunch of other men piled into the cottage. There were about 7 total including himself. Terrell could've sworn that he saw more than that at the battlefield.

The oldest man there, the one that saved Terrell, remained standing while everybody else took a seat. He looked to be about in his late 50's with his shining silver hair. Regardless of his age, he was still very much so in shape and he looked like he could easily wrestle a Poliwrath. The man began by saying, "For those of you who don't know, this is Terrell Magnus. He is going to be our newest recruit... hopefully."

Terrell said, "Recruit for what? I don't know if I want to be a part of whatever you do..."

The old man said with his firm voice, "You will be interested, trust me. Our purpose is to try and stop this war from waging any further. The New Agers are bound to win in the future. We aren't exactly on the Classics side either. The Classics have become just as cruel as the New Agers."

Terrell said, "That sounds a lot more interesting than joining either side. What do you guys do?"

The old man picked up his Pikachu and placed it on his shoulder. He said, "We normally lead guerilla attacks on the armies. We steal their supplies and otherwise stop them as much as we can. We have succeeded a little, but not as much as we would like too. My name is Lieutenant Fuse. I lead these attacks. Everybody, introduce yourself."

The first to stand was a blond dude in his mid 20's. He stood up and said, "My name is Sergeant Surge. I am second in command."

The next to stand was the man with the Rapidash. He said, "My name is Ashton Ketchum from Pallet Town. I left my wife Delia to come and stop this war." (I hope you realize who these last two were. If you don't, I cry.)

Terrell didn't notice, but there was a teenager in the room. Terrell would place him at about 15. He stood up and said, "My name is William, but my friends call me Bill. I am the owner of the cottage and I am looking for a way to end this war that doesn't involve killing people."

The next person to stand said, "My name is..." by that time, Terrell wasn't listening. He was thinking about that old man's Pikachu. Was Pikachu really the first member of its evolutionary line?

After the introductions from the other two, Terrell said, "My name is Terrell Magnus. Since you guys came and got my specifically, you probably know that I do Pokémon research on evolutions pre-evolutions of Kanto Pokémon in secret. Breeding is more of a hobby for me. The Classics took my home and all of the Pokémon that I bred. I met the New-Agers, and they are idiots. I want to stop this war."

Lieutenant Fuse said, "That is very good. We have a few other members that are on current missions. We have a dragon master that is abroad looking for powerful trainers to help us. We also have the two acclaimed Pokémon Professors: Professor Oak and Professor Blaine working down inside the New Agers homeland on ways to stop them. I don't know whether to take you out with us into the field or to have you do research. You are a formidable trainer, so I don't know what to do."

Terrell said, "I can do both. I will join you for important raids and research the rest of the time. Sound good?"

Fuse said, "That will have to be decided later. I actually have a mission for you. I want you to go and spend full time with Professor Oak down in Pallet Town."

Terrell said, "Fine. I'll be back when you need me. I can get there on Aerodactyl. Aerodactyl is the fastest flying type int he region, so nobody will be able to catch me. Good luck."

Bill said, "Good luck to you too!"

Ashton said, "Say hello to my son Ash and my wife Delia!"

Terrell Magnus exited the cabin and sent out Aerodactyl. He flew down south until he recognized Pallet Town. The second he landed, an aging man walked up to him and asked, "Are you the new recruit that Fuse was talking about?"

    Terrell said, "Yes I am."

Professor Oak said, "I have some bad news, so follow me."

Professor Oak took him inside his laboratory and sat him down at the table. Professor Oak started by saying, "You are now a fugitive with both the Classics and New Agers. If you want to work with me, you'll have to change your name and appearance."

Terrell said, "I'll do that, but what do I change my name to?"

Oak said, "Since you are now a Professor, think of a code name. My real last name didn't start as Oak. Hmm... Terrell Magnus... TerrellMagnus.... i've got it! If you remove an 'l' on the end of your first name, your first and last name spell 'Elm'!

Terrell said, "You think that that would work?"

Oak said, "If you like it, the name is yours!"

Elm said, "Then that is my new name! My name is Professor Elm."

Oak said, "Wear these glasses as well. It might make you look different."

Elm put on the glasses and Oak said, "Perfect. You look like another man already."

I think I just threw a whole lot of information at you guys at once. I hope you enjoyed this part! Next time!
