Prologue

*Team Rocket HQ*

Giovanni sat at his desk, petting his Persian as usual until he stopped and turned to look out the window.

It was pouring outside and lightning ripped through the sky bringing flashes of light in Giovanni's office, "Kalos...why you giving Team Rocket such trouble is beyond me...is it because those idiots Jesse, James and Meowth who can't succeed at anything?"

He turned to Persian with his hands behind him, the cat Pokémon purred in approval to Giovanni's statement, "You think so too Persian" he walked to his seat before sitting and continued to pet Persian.

Seconds later the door opened and the receptionist came in and knelt at the door, "What is it?"

The rocket grunt stood with his arms at his side and said, "Sir, we have a Jesse, James and Meowth calling in asking to talk to you on the computer"

Giovanni stared deeply into the facial expression of the grunt before commanding him, "Patch them through"

The rocket grunt stood hand raised to his head and saluted before stepping out.

Giovanni sighed, eyes closed as he mumbled to himself, "What could they want now"

He turned to his computer board before tapping the button closest to him which fired up the hardware of the computer and projected a picture of Jesse, James and Meowth who stood in salute, "What do you have to report?" Giovanni said roughly.

The three lowered their arms to their side before Jesse responded, "Sir, we are progressing with plannings but there is a problem..." She stopped mid sentence before Giovanni demanded, "What is the problem you are faced with?

Jesse nudged James who stared at her for a second before he coughed and said, "Just recently we've seen that two people have been watching us, hiding somewhere, even when we notice them, they don't leave...what's more is that they were wearing black cloaks with red clouds on them"

Giovanni shook his head in disbelief of their petty problems wasting his time, "And that's supposed to concern me how?"

Just as he finished Jesse and James gasped, "Why did you guys gasp Jesse and James!"

The two gulped before raising their hands slightly up in an alarmed state as they started to stutter, Meowth turned annoyed of Jesse and James before gasping too, he quickly fell to the floor motionless as a man held kunai to Jesse's and James's necks, Giovanni couldn't see his face as he kept himself in the dark area from where Jesse and James stood, all that could be seen were red eyes with three curves which were black around the pupil.

"Move and your dead" the man said deeply.
"Who are you! What are you doing!" Giovanni questioned demandingly.

The man stood silent for a second, "You are in no position to argue...soon you will be having a guest...suggest you prepare" the man withdrew his kunai and vanished into the dark, Jesse and James rubbed their neck uncomfortably before rushing to Meowth's side and shook him, "Meowth are you okay?"

Meowth raised his head slowly but the look on his face seemed like he had seen a ghost.

Just then a fury of black crows flew past Jesse and James causing them to frail around and attempt to swat the birds.

Giovanni quickly announced, "That will be all...report to me next time" he clicked the button on his computer which ended the footage, he sat back in his chair as he gulped what happened just now, "Who...who are they?" He asked to himself, his hand shook as he continued to pet Persian who also seemed a little on edge from what happened.

Just then the sound of shouting and screaming could be heard from outside the room, Giovanni clicked on the intercom but he was just answered with silence, "What happened down there...report in" there was a moment of silence before a cough came on the other end of the intercom, then a wheeze, "Sir...intruder...nothing like we've seen before...took down our Pokémon single handedly without a Pokémon..."

Giovanni gasped in fright, he quickly called out, "What does he look like?"

The grunt responded slowly in loss of strength, "Black cloak...with red clouds"

Giovanni gasped in realisation as this was what James told him about, "Anything else?"

"Yes Giovanni...he has-" the line went dead before a different calm and rough voice spoke up, "I'll be with you shortly...be patient" the line went dead again but Giovanni didn't wait to see if someone else would respond so he turned it off and started to pace in place, sweating from his forehead, he raised his hand to wipe it and so wet his sleeve in the process, it was quite damp from the worry that radiated from him, he gulped deeply before deciding, "Okay...I will use the escape route outside my office and beat him by getting out first" he thought now grinning as he approached the door with Persian behind but before he made it a ripple through dimension came then disappeared to reveal a man in a black cloak with red clouds, on his face a orange mask with swirls, his mask only had one eye hole for his right eye which couldn't be seen, "Where do you think your going Giovanni"

Giovanni stepped back surprised by this impossible movement, he stuttered, "P...Persian u...use fury swipes...n...now!"

Persians claws glowed bright white as Persian ran towards the man who at the last second swatted Persian away with the back hand of his right arm, Persian smashed into the wall and was knocked out in one move, the man instantly appeared in front of Giovanni who staggered back in fright but was grabbed by the throat by the man's left hand, Giovanni struggled to pry the man's grip but with a grip like that, it felt impossible. Because of Giovanni's struggled, it caused the man to tighten his grip making Giovanni cry in pain.

The man finally spoke again, "Here's the deal...I will let you live...but you have to work for me now...got it?"

Giovanni gasped for air and started to gag on the air he had left, in the last attempt he had, he gave a feeble thumbs up sign.

The man dropped him and put his hands behind his back, Giovanni fell to the floor with a loud thud as he gasped until he breathed properly, because of the near death experience, he looked up to the man and said, "What's...first?"

The man walked towards the glass and looked out the window, "Now...is phase one of my master plan"
