Pokewalker

It was really nice to have back then, but sadly, I don't think it will make a comeback. The 3DS has its own built-in pedometer, so there's no need for an external device. I did read that at the time it was made, that pedometer was the most accurate such device available anywhere. Not sure how true that is.

What I will miss about that device though is the simple portability of it. I wish there was some kind of a smaller attachment that could be carried around instead of a big clunky 3DS that could count steps and gather streetpasses. I don't see a financially beneficial reason for Nintendo do make such a device though, so I doubt it will ever happen.

 

I do not own and have not used a Pokewalker before as I did not purchase the physical copy of HGSS. It looks like a cool piece of technology though, and I would love to have one.

 

I really loved my Pokewalker! I considered taking it to school, but I feared I would get in trouble and the Pokewalker would become confiscated, so I let it be...

Anyway, I used it frequently until generation 5 came out, and now I can't find it...

My greatest fear was losing the pokewalker while it had one of my favorite Pokémon in it. ;_; Even if the 3DS has a built in pedometer I wish we would get an item similar to it again. How often did you use it?

 

Even though I lost my SS version, I still have mine with a Groudon in it. I remember letting in random Ratattas when I forgot to bring a Pokémon. It was pretty heartwarming to me, for some reason. I actually had 2 of them, the other one was from my best friend who got it from one of her other friends, which had a MEW in it.
Unfortunately, I lost it in the school playground.
*sigh*

 

I didn't use the walker much to be honest. Looking back I wish I had. Maybe the next time I restart my SS I will use it. I did like the concept, I just didn't walk around long enough for it to be of any use when I was younger.

 

@[member="AquawindLugia"], I used it most of the time that I could! I walked my favourite Pokémon and traded with my sister. We would use it LOTS of times!

 

I carried it in my school bag when HG/SScame out, and remembered it every once in a while and hooked it up to my game. I didn't really use it, I mostly just carried it around because I could xD

 

Oh I loved my pokewalker. Since I was going to school when it came out, it became a habit of mine to make sure I grabbed it before I went. It made me strangely happy by carrying that thing around. My espeon, Everild, and my typhlosion Cyan were regulars on it. I'd love to see it used again honestly.

 

I used the Pokewalker once or twice, but I didn't get many useful Pokémon from it. I still have it, but I never use it haha.
