    Apparently there wasn't a general discussion thread for the upcoming Pokémon game for the Wii U, Pokken Tournament, yet but there is now.

    There's been an announcement of a special Pokken Tournament controller that comes out on the game's release date. This controller will only be functional with Pokken Tournament and its priced at around $25.

    New fighter to be revealed January 15th, name the Japanese character ラ.

    Braixen, Garchomp and Mewtwo revealed as fighters in the new CoroCoro leak. Note that none of these Pokémon have the Japanese character ラ in their name, which means we should still be seeing another new fighter on the 15th.

    The mysterious Pokémon with the character ラ in their has been revealed to be Chandelure. Release date for NA and Europe set for March 18th 2016. European boxart showcased.

    This Controller is mainly meant to copy the same controller used on the arcade version of the game. The controller is just a bonus honestly, and who knows maybe if the game itself becomes really competitive, the control will be of more use.

    But yea, I don't think this is that big necessity, but for 25$ i think it's fair enough. Honestly I wish there was a bundle where the game comes with one instead though.

    Pokémon have revealed that a new character is coming to Pokken, the only hint we've got so far is that this Pokémon has the Japanese character "ラ" in it, which is la in English. I'm not sure what this could be but I made this to ask you, who do you think it's gonna be.​
    I'm thinking Blastoise.​
    He would be a good addition to Pokken because of his bulky stature.​
    Another one is Bouffalant.​
    His charges would also work.​
    Finally, which is quite a possible addition, Gallade.​
    We've already got Gardevoir, why not Gallade.​

    By the way, I'm not sure if I'm even doing this right, I don't speak Japanese so I don't know if any Pokémon with LA in it's name counts as a possibility.​

    All fully-evolved Pokémon with "ラ" in their Japanese name are Raticate, Raichu, Vileplume, Parasect, Tentacruel, Slowbro, Kingler, Marowak, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Kangaskhan, Jynx, Gyarados, Lapras, Aerodactyl, Lanturn, Umbreon, Granbull, Heracross, Kingdra, Hitmontop, Raikou, Tyranitar, Swampert, Mightyena, Sableye, Aggron, Manectric, Plusle, Flygon, Gorebyss, Relicanth, Luvdisc, Latias, Latios, Groudon, Jirachi, Luxray, Rampardos, Drifblim, Honchkrow, Chatot, Drapion, Lumineon, Weavile, Gliscor, Heatran, Giratina, Darkrai, Stoutland, Zebstrika, Scolipede, Basculin, Maractus, Sigilyph, Carracosta, Cinccino, Reuniclus, Galvantula, Vanilluxe, Chandelure, Heatmor, Hydreigon, Terrakion, Reshiram, Landorus, Florges, Malamar, Dragalge, and Tyrantrum.

    Would be interesting to have a levitating Pokémon in Pokken. Not sure how that'd work, but considering Flygon is an absolute fan favorite I could see it. That being said, I think the most likely fighter is Heracross: it's a Fighting type, has cool signature moves and a Mega and it's also adored by fans.

    It's great to finally see some love for Braixen instead of Greninja this time around. I get the feeling the Delphox evolution line is probably the least popular of the 6th gen starters. I was hoping for Braixen in Smash and was kinda disappointed when they put in Greninja, but looks like they realized the Delphox is indeed superior. Nice. Just nice.
    Makes you wonder what the mysterious new fighters is gonna be. For some reason I feel like they might introduce a new form or Pokémon. It's pretty clear the 6th generation almost over, so it wouldn't be weird to see a reveal of the first Pokémon of gen 7, like they did with Zoroark for example at the time. I just think it's odd that we get a leak for 3 new fighters now, which were all not very surprising while they made an announcement to hype up a new fighter and specifying a character of it's name too. That's weird isn't it? The previous fighters, as far as I know, were all introduced with a simple trailer video on the Namco Bandai Youtube channel and none of them got an announcement for their reveal. How suspicious >_>

    Chandelure was confirmed as the next playable character in Pokkén! It was the Pokémon with the character "ラ" in its Japanese name that was hinted at a few days ago. A trailer featuring Chandelure will debut at the end of the month, I'm really interested to see how it plays.

    What do you guys think about this? I'm really excited myself, I love Chandelure a lot and I'm happy to see Generation 5 getting some much-needed representation. Plus, it's a really unorthodox Pokémon for a fighting game, which is always interesting!

    That's insane. I love how they've been adding Pokémon like Suicune and Chandelure that no one would have expected to be in a fighting game. This game has such a diverse cast that really sets it apart from other fighters.

    Chandelure?? I bet no one saw that coming. Can't complain though, that's fucking cool, I love the gen 5 Pokémon and Chandelure has one of the best designs of them all <3

    Yo. Swampert got a huge middle finger. Chandelure though? I'm actually excited! I never expected Chandela to come around. Dissapointed it wasn't Heracross, but still at least it wasn't Swampert! Where the hell is my Infernape.
