    Aren't pop-up ads annoying?
They always randomly appear when you're about to do something important then it takes you to some weird site, you close that site and then your stuff has vanished!
Have you had experiences like mine?

That...seems to be more than a simple case of pop-up ads. Are you sure that none of your web browsers are instead being hijacked? Thankfully, with the sudden boon of intrusive online ads in recent years the good ol' internets gaveth to the humble user a godsend; adblocker. And I haven't had any more hassle with annoying ads since!

I haaaate popup ads on tablets and smartphones though. I know you can get adblock for android at least, but it's something of a pain to set up. (Think you need to root your phones to get it working properly). And I know with a bit of code manipulation you can purge ads from android apps, but I haven't yet tried to do this, and have instead been always on edge for the next time a random Google store app advert gets in your face after you exit a particular game. Ugh.

-You probably have a virus. Use Avast or Kaspersky or Malwarebytes.
    -Adblock.
Or, if you aren't bothered to get rid of the virus, install Adblock again. I had a virus and I didn't even notice until I uninstalled it and everywhere I clicked, a popup arrived...

Those stuff annoy me. I use this very handy thing called Adblock. Adblock is your friend. Without Adblock, one would not survive the cruel world of the internet. Also, to deal with the virus, you should also make friends with an antivirus programme such as Avast or Kaspersky. They are professionally trained in the art of virus extermination.

Call me a monster, but I use a pop-up blocker, and have been for the past 4+ years. Some of these websites are getting smarter, though. Some will detect your pop-up blocker and won't enable you to browse their site, but hell, there's easy ways around that. I mainly got my pop-up blocker for the annoying YouTube video ads. Before I ever had a pop-up blocker, I'd have annoying experiences with pop-ups all the time. I'll never regret the day that I decided to add on a pop-up blocker to my web browser.

I could not have phrased it better myself. And, to this day, the only site that has ever managed to avoid my pop-up blocker is Photobucket, but even that is breaking down now; all of its attempted ads now just say "Object moved here", as if the very URL itself is outdated.

I will disable the ad-blocker on sites I like and wish to support with ad revenue, but those sites are few and far between. (I can only think of two, actually.)

Pop-ups annoy me most of the time, hence why I use Adblock most of the time to prevent it from invading my browser, even though I disabled it on the site that has no annoying pop-ups and that I support. I still have no idea how to stop the pop-ups from Android browsers yet, though :(

"Please complete one survey to unlock this download." - the only pop-up that still really grinds my gears, and that I haven't yet found a way to avoid or block outside of disabling Javascript/using inspect element. Even filling out the surveys never guarantees that the pop-up will go away and allow you to download your file when you're done, so I don't bother with those anymore if I can help it. Otherwise, I always use Adblockers to avoid webpage and YouTube ads, but before I did, they used to annoy me like mad; unskippable video ads in particular were what drove me to install an Adblocker in the first place after my friends told me that they also used them.

Thank goodness Adblock exists. Otherwise, I would probably have thrown my PC out of the window at some point, thanks to all these ads. I guess this is the dark side of living in a country where capitalism exists.
Too bad some sites start to detect Adblock by now. The anime site I use does, and that one has a lot of ads on it. They got rid of some of my credit points because they detected it >_<

Pop-Up ads nearly ruined one of my laptops a while back--giving me a bunch of high level viruses with one accidental click :D
It made me so happy :D

Sarcasm aside, pop-up ads are annoying to everyone besides those that make them or use them to help sites continue to run. It's just how the internet works sadly.
