Hey guys, [member='Aura'] here with another discussion topic~

So, the premise of the Pokémon games is to "Catch 'Em All", right? Well, what happens after that? Once you've gone through the gruelling, month-consuming task of catching all the Pokémon release so far (or do it with 6 hours of straight trading with [member='shinygiratinaz'] while discussing memes and shiny stories), or even if you simply don't want to catch them all (but why wouldn't you?), what are you supposed to do after you beat the Champion? Well, that's where the Battle Sites comes in!

Battle Sites is the collective term (that I just made up for the purpose of this article) that refers to the facilities where players can test their mettle in a series of battle-based challenges. These are the Battle Tower, Battle Frontier, Battle Subway, Battle Maison and Pokémon World Tournament.

We'll start with the Battle Tower, which is probably the simplest of all the Battle Sites. It's a simple 3-on-3 Battle (for Singles, 4-on-4 for Doubles, 4-on-4 for Multi Battles [2 players VS 2 NPCs] with each player using 2 Pokémon each) with all Pokémon set to Lv. 50. You go through and battle chains of Trainers until you either lose or get bored. There's a Battle Tower in Generations III and IV, and very similar facilities in Generations V and VI, which will be discussed later.

Next up is the Battle Frontier, which is a large theme park-like location filled with many different battle challenges besides the Battle Tower. In the Generation III Battle Frontier, there's the Battle Dome, the Battle Palace, the Battle Arena, the Battle Factory, the Battle Pike and the Battle Pyramid, as well as the Battle Tower. In the Generation IV Battle Frontier, there's the Battle Factory (which is the same as the Generation III one, but with a different design), the Battle Arcade, the Battle Castle and the Battle Hall, as well as the Battle Tower. Each of these facilities hosts a different type of challenge, and once a certain amount of battles have been completed in a row, you're able to battle against a Frontier Brain, and defeating them the first time awards you a Sliver Emblem (Generation III) or a Silver Print (Generation IV), and defeating them a second time gives you a gold variant of the prize mentioned before.

After that is the Battle Subway from Generation V and Battle Maison from Generation VI. These two facilities are pretty much the same, which stems from the fact that they're basically glorified Battle Towers. The Battle Subway added Triple and Rotation Battles to the mix, and the Battle Maison got rid of the 7 battles per challenge rule, allowing players to start and stop as they pleased.

Finally, there's the Pokémon World Tournament from Generation V, commonly referred to as the PWT. In the PWT, you participate in bracket-style tournaments with 3 rounds each, with different rules for different tournaments, such as using only certain types, or only using rental Pokémon. You can also battle against Gym Leaders and Champions from past Generations, which made the cameos all the more exciting.

So, after that quick recap of all the Battle Sites, which one is your favourite? Which one did you try to conquer but just couldn't get there? Do you have any concepts for a Battle Site of your own? Comment your responses below, and make sure to take the poll as well!
