After catching up to Tales of Series news, it seems like Tales of Berseria is going to be a prequel of Tales of Zestiria, but with a longer plot. Fans have been speculating about it, and it seems that one of the characters is mentioned in the sequel and plays a quick role in the plot.

So, if you had to play prequels and sequels, What do you personally prefer, playing the prequel before the sequel? Or the opposite and why?

Well in my Opinion it doesn't matter once you've played dangan ronpa. In Dangan ronpa there are 4 games in total and the first 2 were thought to be connected. But then came out Dangan Ronpa Despair Girls. Everyone thought it was the sequal to the second game but it was actually the prequel to the second game. And a lot of games do that like Five Nights at Freddy's. So I dodn't mind playing either way anymore.

I'd rather play whichever one was released first as that's usually the way the developers intended. I've played Fire Emblem 6 after 7 (7 is a prequel to 6) and characters like Eliwood and Hector would have been more interesting if I had known the plot of FE6. Neither Hector or Eliwood do a ton in FE6, actually, but that's exactly why it would have been cool to be introduced to these characters earlier and then see them in full action in the next game.
