Prince of Persia Discussion

The Prince of Persia series started out as a 2D puzzle platformer that was pretty impressive for its time. It was not until Ubisoft contacted the creator (don't quote me on this, i forgot how the creator got tied in with Ubisoft) asking if the creator would want to make a full 3D version of the Prince of Persia. Unlike the disappointing movie that came out a few years ago, the game series has had a pretty good and solid fanbase. At one point the Prince of Persia even got rebooted but that reboot obviously did not catch on thus the franchise is just kind of in a coma at this point. There have been times and rumors that a new Prince of Persia game is currently in the works, but ever since Assassins Creed was created (If you don't recall Assassins Creed took form from Prince of Persia concepts) Prince of Persia just has been dying down and pretty much has been almost forgotten. Just like the sands of time, time eventually runs out. What are your thoughts on the Prince of Persia Series? What games of the series have you played before?
