I know there is a Pokémon Amie topic here..but I'm not sure what I have to say would fit in that topic. I looked at the topic to see if anyone posted anything wrong with it but I think it's just about how cool it is and what they like or expected from it..and I love Pokémon Amie, I do!
However, I noticed a slight problem that really makes me sad and I'm hoping for an answer for this if anyone knows why this is..

So..a while ago my friend on my Pokémon Y game gave me a Togepi that he caught. I really love Togekiss so I traded it from my Y game to my X game where I just started on there. It's now a Togetic and it had a full max affection level on Pomkeon Amie. Then I decided I'd trade it back to my Pokémon Y game that I completed already and teach it Fly. I also traded an Absol and a Swirlix I caught on X to Y to learn some TM/HM moves as well. I really hope no one considers that as cheating..I don't think it is if I already beat the 1st game I had..but anyways, when I traded all 3 of my Pokémon back to X..they all had their same max affection level except Togetic. Togetic's affection reverted back to zero instead of five hearts.

Does anyone know why Togetic's affection went down :( ?

I'd also like to see if anyone else had any unfortunate problems in Pokémon Amie.

Edit: I think I figured out why my Togetic lost it's affection level..I believe it's cause I originally got it from my friend Corey who traded it to my game on Pokémon Y which I traded to X and maxed out it's affection..I traded it to Y again with my newly evolved Togekiss to make it learn Aura Sphere and Sky attack..and it lost all it's affection all over again. Basically..I think if you have a traded Pokémon, max out it's affection, trade it to a game and trade it back, it'll loose it's affection because it doesn't really belong to you and I guess it's kinda like it forgets all about you or something like that. Kind of like how a Pokémon's happiness resets when you trade it :) I think that's why it's affection was lost..not certain though.

Hm.. that seems odd. Never happened to me, BUT
One time, Me and my friend traded legendaries (Xerneas/Yvental) for the Pokédex (and also to play Pokémon amie with them abit) Alftr peting the fur outof Xerneas nose, I returned her to my friend, and Yvental came back.. and he had gained a heart for some reason ._.

Also, things wrong in Pokémon amie.. Giratinas mask. 'nuff said.

That's pretty weird too, gaining a random heart from trade..
and I've never seen Giritina on Pokémon Amie :) I'm still waiting for Pokémon Bank to come out in the U.S so I can transfer my level 100 shiny event Dialga to X or Y...anyways does Giritina's mask look that bad on Amie x3?

(Just search 'giratina Pokémon amie' on Youtube. You'll surely find something.)
They took one of the most coolest masks in the game, and turned it into bunny ears. Bunny ears.
I know it might just be because if the poffins, but, still.. it looks silly.

^This seems just fine for me. Why they had to make the mask push back all the way is a mystery .-.

I can't do the face thing with my Milotic for some reason. I don't know if that just doesn't work for some Pokémon....

You mean how you make a face and they're suppose to make it back? I've never been able to do that..read online that it's really hard to get the face camera thing to work when you want it to.

Pokémon amie just doesn't know how to recognise my face. I'm trying to do the facial imitation game and even with my face in clear view (the little yellow icon is visible that says so) the game just can't read my face well enough.

Yea, that facial expression thing is a pain. I'm easily able to do the "keeps a straight face" "Make a kissy face" and "tilt your head", but when it comes to most of the others, it won't recognize it 9 every 10 times, and when it says "tilt your head and do ______" It never works.

I haven't used it much since I beat the E4 since there aren't a lot of trainers to slog through that I will need a critical hit for or a well placed dodge, since the bonuses don't work in competitive play.

No, because with every other Pokémon it works fine (although I'm still unable to make a huge smile, or open my eyes wide), except for Milotic. Weird shizzle...

Yeah you have to be in a super well-lit room to be able to do SOME of the faces they want you to do.
I personally have trouble making the wide eye and big grin expressions. :<

When you trade a Pokémon, its happiness goes down, like you said. I'm not sure if the same goes for Amie affection, but I assumed that was the case. It's weird though that the others didn't lose any hearts.

I haven't really had any problems with Amie, other than the face thing. Then again, I never really make many expressions anyway.

Yeah :) I believe it's only cause Togekiss was an already traded Pokémon..the others didn't loose affection when I traded them back to X from my Y game because I was the original person who caught them but Togekiss wasn't so ^^
I never used the expressions either but I'd love to try and use them.
