Okay so here we are. Black and White 2 with a female professor. For the most part she's energetic friendly and approachable. But what about her usefulness to the character? How did you find her usefulness?
She was a pretty bad professor in my mind, I felt like Bianca and the guy rival person was really your guide to Pokémon. Juniper just wasn't there enough, very much like Sycamore who was there and then not. I feel like the professor should be your support like in Sun and Moon over someone who sends a 10-year-old on a journey and then just lets you do all of the adventures of fighting and stopping and evil team on your own.
I liked her as a character. But she isn't very useful. Aside from the beginning she really doesn't play a prominent role and just fades into the background. Which is kinda sad.
I don't mind her too much, but to me she didn't feel like too much of a character. Oak was a bit of a forgetful old man, Elm came off a slightly neurotic, Birch was outgoing and free-spirited and Rowan was a stoic badass. I didn't feel too much of a personality coming from Juniper. Maybe she would have shown a little more character if she'd had a bigger role like Kukui, but she disappears from most of the story before she can become memorable.
I agree with the others. Juniper was pretty cool, but her part in the story simply was too small. As a professor, I'd expect you to be involved in your research. Instead, I imagine her just sitting behind a computer all day long, tracking the main Trainer lol. It's a shame. I hope her part in the story will be better when the Black/White remakes will be here.
I'll be honest I have trouble remembering the role that any of the professors play apart from Oak and Kukui. I like her card in the Pokémon card game though, so you can argue she has potential use in that form
