Yup, I thought I'd open an art thread, too :D

Here are two parts of a .... could you call it a project? I was thinking: What if there were different races/breeds of Pokémon? I mean, they cannot be immune to evolution (I mean biologically, not the Pokémon-kind of evolution haha). Also, people have always been creating different breeds of domesticated animals, be it for practical or aesthetic reasons - why wouldn't they do it with Pokémon, too?

    So here you go:

They're all speedpaintings more than anything, and a bit messy, since the idea itself was more important to me and I didn't have enough time to get really detailed

The breed concept is pretty interesting. I'm sure it would make a pretty cool collection to have a bunch of them as different breeds XD For speed paintings, these are very nice! I like the subtle differences between the breeds. And chocolate Arcanine looks adorable :)

    Thank you :>

Here's a commission for someone on deviantART. She just asked for Zorua and Chikorita and this is one of the ideas I came up with. I'm really happy she liked it C:

Nice, I like how you made Chikorita look realistic, like how one would actually look if it existed as a creature in real life.

Thanks a lot, you two :)
And for the raindrops I put some masking liquid on the paper before colouring to prevent the paint from getting there :>

Here's the drawing to my avatar and signature, even if it's already a bit older.
I just love the design of Sawsbuck! Seems like winter is coming...

    Again, done in water colours

Oh, ok, masking liquid. I have used it before but it ruined my paint brushes D: I think I took too long or something. And the illustration of sawsbuck is so wonderful! I love how the red and orange colors pop out ^^

    Thank you :>

Well, I don't use brushes for the masking liquid, it's in a tube that can be used to apply it directly. So I can't give you any advice on that problem, sorry D:

    EDIT:
I finally discovered how to use spoiler tags so I used them to hide my drawings. Now this thread won't take ages to load ;D

Also, here's a WIP! :D I don't usually use outlines but I wanted to experiment with a different style <: I'm planning on using copics and coloured pencils to colour it ... also if anyone wants to colour it for fun, sure thing! Just mention me in case you upload it somewhere C: click here for a bigger version

Ooh, I really like that WIP! It reminds me of stained glass in a way, it looks very nice. I can't wait to see it colored!

Arggggh I've had so much work lately x__x I wish I could be more active

Anyways, thank you so much, you three! :'D I think I'll actually make a series out of the Sawsbuck drawing and do the other seasons, too :> In fact, I've already started hehe

    Also, have some sketches!
It's not exactly Pokémon art, but drafts for a commission of a fakemon character :) the commissioner chose the third one, the first might follow later
It will be coloured with water colours

Neat! It sure has a long neck :o Is that on purpose? It kind of looks like ponyta but still, I'd love to see it in water colors!

Haha yes, it's based on a giraffe ;D so it also has their long necks
And you're right, it does resemble Ponyta a bit. Its colours are different, though :> (which you obviously can't see yet haha)

    Anyway, thanks a lot!
