Do you guys ever go to the library? How often do you visit? Do you hang out there, or do you take your books home?

Library? Oh yes, all the time. I volunteer at the library over the summer, usually, and sometimes during the school year. I go there a lot, to read there and attend some events, and I check out a backpack full of books and go home. Sometimes I do my homework there, but not as often. I've been going to the school Media Center a lot too(since it's in my school), the new Media Specialist is really nice and there are a ton of new YAC books that look really good.

All in all, I probably read too many books

I love, love, LOVE my local library! Easy way to track down older books if they've been out of print for a while. What's really annoying is how incomplete some of the series are--you may find book 2 and book 3, but not book one.

"Hi, I would like to check out a book but I need to apply for a new library ca-oh? I'm already in the system? I applied for a library card 15 years ago? I'm fine? Hm, I must have forgotten about it. Carry on, then."

If I had more time to actually read books, I may have never had that conversation. Alas, it happened, which should give you an idea of how often I visit the library, despite the fact it's not very far away from me at all.

Since I'm not working for a publisher any more, I'll be going back to my local library a lot more often soon, because I need leisure reading (that's half the reason). But the cool thing about my library? They have so, so, so many comic books and graphic novels. If I want to buy the entire Sandman series, it'll set me back over a hundred dollars. Or... I can read Sandman and every other classic and renowned graphic novel known to man for free because my library rocks. And the branch the next town has some really cool ladies working there. It's twenty minutes away farther than one other, but definitely worth it to geek out about Neil Gaiman with nerd girls. Who's Neil Gaiman, you ask? He's my favorite author who is, as described by one cracked.com column, "the impending god-emperor of sexy, literate semi-goths, [who has] collected enough frilly black panties to build his own floating island". That's the kinda guy who I want to be, and I want girls who like him to like me. That's the other half of the reason I go to the library.

I used to go to my school library all the time, but I started to figure out what kind of series I like to read and bought the books myself so I don't really hang out there. I still go in there every so often, and I have a great relationship with the librarians.

I actually went to the libray this past weekend and got a brand new library cards along with some books I liked. Was pretty cool. I do't go to the library as much as I used to because now it's a bit too far away from my house.

As soon as I read that title I immediately thought of Chopper and Robin from One Piece I have an addiction

I think there's actually a local Library near here, I'd say 10 minutes away? I've never actually been much but maybe one day! I love to read after all!

In the past I did work in my old school's library though. It was my only safe haven, and heck there nobody could cross me! All in all I loved working there, and from time to time read some of the stock we had. Nowadays I don't really visit any sort of library (except my college one but even then that's for work reasons) but I have been considering such an activity. After all, it means new things for me to read, and when I get those new things then I throughly enjoy myself!

If I did go, I doubt I'd take any home with me and just trust nobody took the book out. Not that I have issues with people taking books out, I have issues with myself taking books out: my brain is a terrible klutzy mess, and often it forgets what to prioritize. Which would lead to some majorly overdue books... No, I think I'm safer leaving it in the Library to come to and read XD
