How do you guys react to losing in a video game? Have you ever rage quit? How bad is your explosion? How long does it take for you to get there? What games frustrate you the most? Finally, how do you usually calm down from it?

    >tfw no wood and I'm stuck at that point
    >repeat the same level again and again

I quit playing that one on Steam because I facepalmed so hard, there goes my effort I put into getting 100% of the achievements on that game.

Rage... Quit? What is this ragequit of which you speak?

I'm a supercalm person, so much so that I think I may have an overactive parasympathetic nervous system or something. The only "ragequitting" I've done in years amounts to me saying, word for word: "*sigh*... yeah, eff this game, I'm going to play something else", exiting/turning off the game, and then playing something else.

I was playing Smash with some friends a little while ago, I beat one in a glory-type match, and his rage was almost scary, almost comical. He thrust down his controller (that he owned, which was okay), stood up and turned around to face me, flipped me off with both hands about three inches from my face, and then proceed to rub the back of each middle-finger-wielding hand on my face. I didn't know how to react. (admittedly it wasn't a ragequit, since the round was over, but close enough)

Usually I'm not a rage quitter. The games that I rage quit are the ones where I know I can do a part. I know how, I know I've done it before, and I know that it wasn't just luck. And then I can't beat that part on a replay. Other ones are where I do exactly as the game tells me to, or i figured out exactly how to do the level, but then I can't beat it. Super Mario Sunshine and Shadow the Hedgehog are two games that have both of those. It doesn't take a long time for the irritation to start, and once it does, I'm dragged into a near infinite "One more try" loop. I only put it done so that i dont break something. The part that angers me, is that I know it is possible. I wouldn't be mad for losing a level that I knew was impossible. It usually lasts either until I actually beat it, or 15 minutes or so after i stop. I'm fine losing as well if I never even got close, or if i got so close, and then made the wrong decision. Only those ones that either the game glitches on or my hands are physically incapable of doing truly anger me.

Hm, I'm not one who ragequits, esp. when there's other people with me. I mean if I'm playing Mario Party with CPUs, and something REALLY horrible happens (lol Chance Time), I'm likely gonna reset the game. Otherwise I just look back with friends and laugh. In other types of games, I'm probably gonna be that person who's like "one more try" in an infinite loop.

This is an example of a memory with friends. I was Yoshi. =P
I did drop my controller on the couch when this happened.

I usually end up rage-quitting at bull crap in games. Stuff like almost killing an enemy that I've been trying to kill for forever and then it knocks me off a cliff at the last second. I usually don't go back for a few hours afterwards.

I would love to say that I never rage quit, but that just wouldn't be entirely true, especially in Smash Bros. Sometimes I feel like quitting early is just the best way to end a match if I'm getting too irritated because I really shouldn't be getting irritated by video games in the first place. Once I'm done with a match, I calm down pretty fast though and just hop right into another one.
