I like to mix in meat (my favorite is beef) and vegetables (I usually do an Asian medley that includes water-chestnuts) when I make instant ramen (I would make real ramen but making noodles is a pain in the backside). My school does a 'ramen bar' on Fridays, where you can choose from a number of different vegetables and either chicken or pork, and the soup itself is very mild; hardly any salt in it, so while it is lacking a bit in flavor it's easy for more people to enjoy it.
