I will not die in peace until I have a new 3D Rayman game xD Rayman 2 and 3 are among some of my favorite games ever and I'm still sad 4 got cancelled.
4 got cancelled? I never heard about that, that's really sad. I've only played 1 (partially) and two myself, and Rayman 2 is definitely an amazing game.
Yeah during early development. It's even more sad because the tutorial character in Rayman 3 even says "See you in Rayman 4"
Fucking pulled a Banjo-Kazooie there. At the end of Banjo-Tooie, the villain says "I'll see you in Banjo-Threeie". Instead we got... Nuts n Bolts. God damn. On a completely unrelated note, Rayman should totally be in Smash 5.
I've only really played the first one and then one for I think it was PS2 I don't remember the name of. I really enjoyed the one for PS1, it was the kind of game I used to play a lot back then. I haven't played any new ones that might have popped up since them so I don't know if the franchise is still the one I remember.
Man, I used to love Rayman 2 as a kid. I never managed to complete it back then (mostly due to that one lava level with the plums being super finicky), but years later I finally did manage to beat it. I do wish they would remake Rayman 3 though. That one was one of my favorite games ever. And then Raving Rabbids came along. I was so disappointed when I realized it was just a weird and silly minigame collection. I was half-expecting them to stick to the platforming genre, but they didn't. I've been in a love/hate relationship with the Rabbids since (they have their quirky charms, but I still hate them for putting the Rayman series down immensely). Haven't played Origins and Legends yet. I'm sure they're good games that have gone back to their Rayman 1 roots, but I was picky and it wasn't what I was looking for.
There was a Rayman game ported to the Switch I believe. I downloaded a demo and played it briefly; it was an alright game, but didn't have the charm I was expecting from a Rayman game. Perhaps part-nostalgia bound, but I feel like they've lost some spirit along the way.
It was legends I think, I'm happy there's some more games that are at least decent. But I don't think they're even made by the same people, not sure, but it would explain the lack of charm.
Kk made me play Rayman 2. I'm currently playing it on my emulator and it's pretty fun lol though I stuck in starting and didn't know about shooting those cage xD still haven't completed the game but onto it.
I've only seen gameplay of the Rayman games, but sadly I just don't like the art style, it just isn't for me.
Ah yeah, that's one of the newer ones. They had a very distinct and different artstyle. I actually just bought Legends and Origins on Steam because they were on sale xD
