Traditional Ray's Inktober 2017 Dump

Decided to make a separate thread for my Inktober works instead of posting them to my main portfolio :')



Heyo! My name's Ray and I'll be using this thread to post all of my drawings for Inktober~
Don't know what Inktober is? No problem, I'll give a brief explanation!

Basically, Inktober is a 31 day art challenge created back in 2009 by an artist by the name of Jake Parker that takes place during the entire month of October. The challenge is to produce one traditional inked piece of art (or a digitally inked piece) each day from October 1st to October 31st. The point of Inktober is to challenge yourself and try drawing things that may be outside your comfort zone or things that you have little experience drawing. You can draw whatever you'd like for Inktober, but there is an official prompt list for those who may have trouble coming up with themes for their drawings.

I plan on drawing whatever I feel like for Inktober, but I might do a couple of the prompts from the list. A couple of them interest me.

I've been playing Silver version a lot since it came out on virtual console, so I decided to start off Inktober by drawing my main team members from Silver version!

Materials Used: Ohuhu markers, black Faber Castell pens, white sakura gelly roll pen, Photoshop (for color correction)

Decided to draw an oc of mine that I haven't tried drawing yet for day 2! I think it might be my 1st time doing an all black and white picture (.w.)

This is my 1st time participating! I've only known about it since last year, but I was just getting back into drawing then and felt like I wouldn't be able to keep up and lacked the confidence to do it.

I've had to work late the past couple days and I've been starting to feel a bit sick as well, and I haven't been able to find the time to keep up with Inktober X-X

Thank you! Yes, I do digital as well; (I think you've commented on my digital art portfolio before??) Inktober is just more of a traditional art challenge though so I've been focusing more on traditional than digital.

Currently halfway through Inktober; I have to work quite a few extra hours this week though so I'll probably only be able to do black and white sketches for the next few days ;w;
