So, out of all of these games, which trio do you prefer? List your reasons below!

I prefer GSC, a brilliant game with lots of cool and amazing stuff, probably one of my favorites!

Going with an older game is not the best idea. G/S/C was only really popular because let's face it. You all grew up with it. For me, I started with FireRed, and R/S/E is similar.

Growing up with the 8-bit classics I have to go with that, favorites are definitely Gold/Silver/Crystal. I played my Gold version an absolutely ridiculous amount, maxed the clock, had them all. It actually is what jaded me towards Pokémon for a long time when the new generations were announced. I had to start again AND get a new Gameboy? Mannn. I do like Gen 3 after playing it many years later, though.

I have to go with FRLG since that was the first Pokémon game I ever had. :) I have really fond memories with FR.

I have VERY fond memories of Crystal, don't get me wrong, but I have to go with the third generation of the series. Specifically, R/S/E. I think it introduced a lot of cool, interesting and unique Pokémon. It was the first time we had a legendary Dragon, and I honestly LOVE the music.

R/S/E for me. By far my favorite generation. I do not diss any of the others though because they were also very good (except R/B/Y Get at me Genwunners)

This is a hard choice =[

Red/Blue/Yellow were my very first games, but oddly, Gold/Silver/Crystal hold MUCH more nostalgia for me. I played them until thye couldn't be played anymore. I remember when my sister sent me Gold in the mail along with a transparent pink game boy Advance and that was a very happy day. And I remember getting super excited my friend had Silver, and she gave it to me because she had outgrown it. And I remember getting my hands on Crystal later, being super happy I could finally be a lady, and played its batteries out as well. I ended up loving Crystal the most. The pretty 8 bit music, the moving sprites, the relaxing atmosphere, oh man, I loved that game so much.

Now, I did like Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald a lot, I remember being impressed with how much the graphics improved. The colors were so vibrant and pretty. However memories of playing it feel much more dull to me.

Firered was a really good game too. I remember getting all the way to Seven Island with my super awesome super strong Charizard and feeling so boss. I remember the cutesy atmosphere of the game as well as how adorable the female player was. However, now when I go back and try to play it, sadly the magic is completely lost. I can never get past Vermillion now, for some reason. It just ends up boring me a lot. =[

So... yeah, I guess I'm going to have to go with Gold/Silver/Crystal. Strong memories, I love Johto, and it never gets old~ ^_^

FireRed and LeafGreen. I played LeafGreen for HOURS when I was younger. I have fond memories of me and my mom playing it together. :)

GSC by a mile. It still has that retro feel and nonsophistication that is no longer in the new games. It also lets you not only Travel in the new land but also revisit your old stomping ground. I have gold and love it
