Do you like to watch Reality TV shows? Do you hate them with a passion?

If you like them, what are ones you've watched? Which is your favorite?
    If not, why not?

I don't hate them, but I think it's a bit wrong to have a show telling someone everything about your life. And some are just plain dumb. For example, my grandma was watching one with LaToya Jackson, and this was the theme. http://goo.gl/30sRiW I mean, come on. xD

I won't say hate, but I definitely don't like them, I always see them as bad recreations of real life.

I'm so sick of the fact that reality shows are what's dominating the first-run TV landscape. So many of them are faked and scripted in some way. Needless to say, though, there are a few that I've watched and enjoyed over the years, all of them following a documentary-style format (e.g. COPS, Supernanny.)
One show that really irks me (and actually used to be one of my guilty pleasures until I figured out what really was going on) is Cheaters. The subjects featured in each "investigation" all say and do the same things, giving off the vibe of being scripted. In fact, there was a report on Inside Edition in 2009 that exposed Cheaters as being fake and scripted. Not to mention someone on a local morning radio talk show (can't think of the person's name) called it "Jerry Springer on the road"!

It makes me sad that they're so scripted. I used to really enjoy watching the show Catfish until I found out how it really works.

I used to love watching reality shows on TLC at my mom's house though, mainly Cake Boss, What Not To Wear, and documentary-esque stuff like "My Strange Addiction". They're entertaining lol, what can I say. I don't really watch any reality shows anymore, probably mostly because I don't have cable, and it feels extremely weird to go out of my way to go on Netflix or something and deliberately open a reality show haha.

The only ones I really care about are American Idol, Got Talent (all over the world), and Wipeout, particularly Got Talent and Wipeout--Got Talent to be wowed by the truly good and cool acts, and laugh at the lengths some people will go to for fame. Wipeout is just plain fun to watch.
