Hey everybody, I just thought I'd make this thread in case there were any specific things in Photoshop that people were having issues with. Instead of making tutorials and touching certain techniques I thought it'd be better if people just asked about things that they didn't already know about and go over specific techniques in detail.

So go ahead and ask any questions. Preferably give as much detail as possible so I can give a more detailed response :)

    Hey Reborn,
I would love for you to explain some tips on working text into signatures. I've been struggling loads with text in general.

As with most things, experimentation is key. From experience, I tend to get much better results using bolder fonts, like Impact, Bebas Neue, Dragonforce, NOVA etc. That's mostly because my go to text style is a clipping mask (sometimes smudged to get an effect like this http://lakevalor.net/uploads/imgs/pre_1447423687__touya.png sometimes not to get an effect like this http://orig12.deviantart.net/a21b/f/2012/365/f/3/car_tooned_signature_by_rebornfx-d5pue5b.png) with either a stroke or drop shadow. Recently I've been experimenting with gradient fills as opposed to the clipping masks since it gives a much cleaner looking outcome as opposed to making it blend in to the signature better. For the subtext, I have and probably always use visitor TT2 BRK in size 13pt and 'None' selected as opposed to crisp or sharp, at least in most situations. It's just small enough to fit slightly more text in while still being legible and gives a nice aesthetic. I'm a fan :P

So yeah, experiment with different techniques, find something you like an work on that. The text should try to add to the signature, not distract the person from the focal point, which is why I would tend to stick to smaller text and keeping it fairly close to the focal.
