Recommend me a game...

    Okay, so there has been something that I've wanted for a while that I just haven't been able to find in any games. If anyone remembers the game Dragon Quest IX Sentinel of the Starry Skies, you would remember the alchemy system of that game. In my opinion, that alchemy system was awesome. It was so extensive and there were so many things that you could make with the system that you just wanted to hunt down items just to see what stuff would do.

    So my question. Can anyone recommend a game that I can either get on an emulator easily or I can get on PS2, Wii U, DS, PC, or 3DS that has a similar alchemy system to DQIX? I've missed that alchemy system so much and I just want to go back this weekend and play a bit of DQIX just to get a feel for that game that I loved so much.
