The first Generation of Pokémon had 4 games: the original Red, Blue, and Green and the anime-inspired Yellow. Yellow was an "enhanced" version of the first three games, and had a lot more elements relating to the anime. Which game(s) of Generation I did you like better, Red, Blue, and Green, or Yellow?

Yellow. Getting all the starters was awesome.

Believe it or not, I actually liked the ugly style of Red/Green. U-Red/Blue updated the sprites a little, but they still kind of had that ugliness to them that I liked. Yellow took that away a bit. Plus, I don't think Pikachu trailing your end really added much to the game.

Personally I liked Yellow the most. You can get all 3 Kanto starters, and the most important of all, you also get a Pikachu as your first Pokémon, just like in the anime!

I personally liked rbg because the fact you can start with something good, unlike yellow, where you are stuck with pikachu

I never played yellow, and for a pretty just reason. I simply don't like Pikachu. Why am I going to go through an entire adventure with a Pokémon I don't like following me around? On the other hand, the revival in HGSS was nice because it expanded that. Anyhow, no Pikachu-following for me. As awesome as it would have been to have all the starters back then, it didn't outweigh the dislike for me. I'll dig up my Blue instead.

Pokémon Yellow. I have Pokémon Blue as well and it's really fun but the sprites weird me out, lol XD And I think it's cute to have Pikachu following you [though it's kinda annoying how the screen flashes when he's poisoned until he faints] and improving your friendship with him.

Yellow, because of the extra challenge, the levels of the Pokémon were increased(I believe). Definitely not because Pikachu was a starter. I literally shunned it to the 6th slot starting from Brock all the way onwards. Nidoking was my friend. The fact that it could follow you and you could check it's happiness was cool too. But yeah. Try beating Brock with a Pikachu. Noot fun.

I have to go with Yellow just because you can get all of the starters. I'll be getting this when the games come out on Virtual Console.

I loved Pokémon Yellow. It was so unique with a Pokémon following you. I feel like it gave me a closer connection to Pokémon and really gave me an appreciation for Pikachu!
