Red and blue are two highly favoured colours that have very different effects when drawing. Red is a hot colour found on the warm side of the spectrum, used to create warmth and energy, often in the forms of violence or romance. For example, blood and fire, roses and hearts.
Blue on the other hand is more calming, being on the cool side of the colour spectrum. It's more calming and relaxed, being the colour of the sky and bodies of water.
Which of the two colours do you prefer, and why? Is there one that you favour more in art, or do you use both equally? What're your favourite things to colour red or blue?

I've always preferred the color blue overall, as it soothes me. The most relaxing thing to me is the cool blue water of an ocean or lake. Red makes me think of anger, which I have enough of. Art-wise, it's the same affect. I find myself enjoyed a more blue or cool colored art piece opposed to a warm one.

I'm definitely more of a blue person. Red is one of my least favorite colors to color/work with so I tend to keep it to a minimum; if anything I'd go more for pinks or pastel reds but hardly ever more bold, defined red. Blue is totally my thing. ^_^

I'm here to support Red! Although I like it better when they are mixed together. :D

Red's always been my favourite colour and I love to use it in my drawings, it gives me a more intense feeling than blue which I prefer. Even though I still like the second one~

It reminds me the time we studied meaning of colors in University xD I totally support the Red. Red is passion, red is energy, red is blood, red is the most badass Pokémon trainer of the world. Funny fact, I claimed the blue when I was a kid.

I think blue is better. While red is an angry, fierce color, blue is a calm and happy color.
Also blue is the color of things like the ocean and such, and I love the ocean. :P
But what is red? Red is fire. Fire burns. :C

I like red because it stands out and is a generally 'cool' colour (as in awesome, rather than cold). Speaking of temperature, it's also associated with warmth, which I much prefer over the cold feeling blue gives. When it comes to happy colours, I prefer yellow over blue because it represents warm sunshine and smiley faces. Blue just looks robotic and unemotional to me. I like the action-packed, outgoing vibe of red overall.

I like to use Blue. It's one of my favorite colors. But it really depends on the mood I'm trying to create.

I like blue. Blue is really soothing and calming, and can have a variety of different effects. Bright blues give you a more happy vibe, while some darker shades give a more mellow tone. Blue is super flexible and just an overall comfortable color to me.

I quite like red slightly better than blue but I can understand why people prefer the colour blue over red since blue invokes feelings of trustworthiness and calm whereas red more often feels like passion, heat and lust.

    Viva la Red!

Why are you making me choose between my 2 favorite colors? I'll have to choose blue. I feel like it's a more calming color, and of course a part of my username, Azure's a shade of blue!~
