    Hello everyone!
It's me RedScizor, and I'm starting my own little POTW. I will be putting here an original set I came up with, every week!
(I don't think Satix will mind double posting here, for my posts)

    1st Pokémon: Zoroark
    [IMG]

Zoroark is a cool Pokémon, mainly due to his ability. Illusion lets him look like the Pokémon found last in you party, until he takes damage from a move. Using this you can play mind games, like making him look like a Fighting type Pokémon and the opponent trying psychic moves without any success.

    The Set:
    Item: Choice Scarf
    Nature: Modest
    EVs: 252 SpA/ 252 Spe/ 4 of either Def, SpD, or HP
    Move-Set:
    Flamethrower
    Night Daze
    Focus Blast
    Grass Knot

Using Choice Scarf with 105 base speed this guy gets a good amount of speed, even without the timid nature. To help add power you use modest to make his attacks more powerful, powering up his 120 base SpA. This set works great as a lead, but works pretty much any time too. Flamethrower gets rid of Scizor, Ferrothorn, Forretress, ect. Night Daze is his main STAB move and is awesome when you get lucky with the Accuracy drop on the opponent. Focus Blast adds coverage. Now you are probably thinking, why grass knot? Now it may seem weird but I've used this set and it works great. Grass Knot does great on rain teams. Gastrodon would know what hit it. It even does a good amount on Politoed, and other water types. It also is just a random move that no-one will suspect, even if they know it's a Zoroark. Also, if you can't do anything against the opponent, don't just let him die, switch, he is great to save for later! Now remember picking the best disguise for Zoroark is crucial. I suggest something like Conkeldurr so that Psychic moves won't hit you, while they think its super effective. Even though Zoroark is UU, that doesn't mean you should only use him in that tier, in fact if you noticed this set is more built for a OU metagame. Thanks for reading my 1st POTW, I hope you read my others to come!

The 2nd POTW was a tie! So I chose the one i like better, Honchkrow!.
Also I know it has been forever since my 1st one but I have been busy, sorry.
*New pole is found at the top of the 1st post*

    2nd Pokémon: Honchkrow
    [IMG]
I love Honchkrow. He is my 3rd favorite Pokémon after Scizor and Blaziken, and to be honest I don't know why! But anyway let's take a look at honchkrow!
    Type: Dark/Fly
    Abilities: Insomnia, Super Luck, Moxie
    Base Stats:
    100 HP
    125 Atk
    52 Def
    105 SpA
    52 SpD
    71 Spe
    The Set: (Mainly for OU)
    Ability: Moxie
    Item: Choice Scarf
    Nature: Hasty
    EVs: 252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 4 HP
    Moves:
    -Drill Peck
    -Night Slash
    -Heat Wave
    -Superpower

It may sounds weird, putting a scarf on Honchkrow but I use it on a team and it is actually quite effective. Honchkrow has great Attack and Special Attack but he lacks speed which the scarf makes up for. Drill Peck and Night Slash give STAB while Superpower helps give coverage. Heat Wave can easily kill Scizor, Ferrothorn, ect. even without any Special Attack investments. Hasty nature is used so that Special Attack isn't taken away as it would with Jolly. Thise set is pretty straight forward and I believe the reason I have found it effective is because people don't see it coming. Nobody really uses Honchkrow in OU and using a different set on him really throws people off. Thanks for reading this POTW, and remember to vote on the new pole for the next POTW!

Honchkrow is a pretty versatile bird. I used it before to great effect with super lucky and I think I had hypnosis/thunder wave and night slash thrown in there somewhere, but silly me didn't give it anything to boost its lacklustre speed, and felt it especially when thunder wave couldn't work on an opponent.

What ability would you recommend for that particular set? I'm thinking Insomnia to prevent pesky grass types or a ghost to put you to asleep in order to dodge a guaranteed super-effective beat down.

Seeing as it's choice scarfed, running Moxie would be the better option. This way it can function as a revenge killer and late game sweeper.

I acutally love Murkrow even better <3 Priority Thunder Wave, Confuse Ray, and even more annoying moves!

I do love the ideas for Honchkrow, I just don't like its coverage. It's not awful like some other Pokémon, but it's not ideal either imo. I'm gonna try this on my Flying-type team and see how it works ^_^
