Hi everyone, It was announced a while ago by the staff of Pokémon the Movie XY: Genie of the Ring Hoopa that Rei Yasuda will be performing the movie's ending theme song. "Tweedia", the title of the song is named after a flower and seems to mean "believe in each other".

Rei Yasuda (age 22) was born in North Carolina on April 15, 1993 and moved to Japan with her family in the early years of her life. Rei Yasuda is a J-pop singer who is known for her vocal contributions for the band Genki Rockets. She is really known for her solo "Best of my love" which was released in July of 2013. Pokémon has played an important part of Rei's life, she had this to say:

When I was little, I would watch Pokémon on Tv with my little brother.

I have collected quite a number of toys and trading cards that I keep in my home. Ever since I was young, I have always wanted to be chosen to sing the ending theme of Pokémon movies, so I am truly happy to perform the theme this year.

Through Pokémon, I realized how important it is to have friends and share bonds. With the song connoting the theme of trust and love as reflected in the flower's symbolism, it will surely enliven the story depicting friends and bonds.

Pokémon the Movie XY: The Archdjinni of Rings: Hoopa will release in Japanese theaters on July 18th.

What do you think about this? I know, I'm happy that Rei Yasuda was able to accomplish one of her goals. I will definitely be on the lookout for more news about her.
