Released too soon?

    This is something me and [member='karatekid770'] were talking about today. Some parts of the games made me feel like the game wasn't finished yet, as if it was released too early.

    A prime example would be the Kalos Power Plant. On Route 13, there are various doors leading to the Power Plant, but all of the doors are closed. There is no way to find out what these doors might possibly be hiding, but their presence does give me the feeling that they were initially meant for something.

    Another thing is the legendary Pokémon. It's been a whole year since the release of X&Y, but we haven't heard a single word about Hoopa or Volcanion. Sure, Diancie has been confirmed, and even got a Mega Evolution, but that's just one. I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think GameFreak even officially confirmed the existence of Hoopa and Volcanion at all. If it wasn't for the hackers, we still wouldn't know about their existence.

    So what do you think about this theory? Were the Kalos games really released too soon, or were we just overthinking it? xD

    I'm not sure if it was XY that was released too soon, but ORAS confirmed instead. If ORAS wasn't coming out next month, unless they're having last minute events for Hoopa and Volcanion, it would have allowed more concentration on events for XY rather than working on ORAS so soon. That's just my opinion though.

    X and Y was just a test tbh, and was just a game to revamp the meta game to a whole new level. Think of it as a completely huge expansion update, with a few new additions to go along with it.

    Anyway I'm pretty sure that they are not complete though, maybe in a sequel/expansion of the games, they'll fix it. Although I'm not still not sure if they were released too early or Nintendo did this on purpose.

    It could have been a decision by Nintendo rather then Game Freak, having them release earlier then tehy were expecting, to help increase Nintendo console and product sales, I remeber thinking it was kind of lame to have five doors, only one of which worked for the power plant,

    Nah. I hate waiting for Pokémon games to come out! It really sucks having to wait a long time, and even though some of it didn't feel finished, I had a ton of fun with it, so I have no complaints about the release date of X/Y.

    I don't think so. For those event legendaries we didn't get Keldeo and the other gen 5 hidden legends until BW2 so we're actually ahead of those games by getting Diancie in X/Y. I think Game Freak did what they wanted to do with X/Y and maybe those areas in the power plant will be used if we get a Z version. Who knows.
