    Rem:Zero, probably one of the best anime to come out this year. At least in my opinion. And your opinion. Yeah, pretty much everyone's opinion.
    DISCUSSION THREAD TIME. What's your guys' favorite part about the anime so far? Who's your favorite character and why? What was your favorite episode?

    Remember, include spoiler tags if you talking about an important part of the plot.

    If you couldn't already tell, Rem is my favorite character. If you're caught up with the anime, you can clearly see why.
    As for my favorite parts so far,
    I'm really loving the current battle with the White Whale that's going on. The moment when Subaru's phone alarm went off and everything got quiet and the screen flickered, that part got me so curious and hyped. The end of episode 20 where the multiple white whales appeared from the sky got me even more hyped, because I noticed that more than 1 was gonna show up, but I thought it was only gonna be an extra one. Re:Zero does a great job at keeping the watcher at the edge of their seat, I must say.

    I also really liked...
    The entire Subaru/Rem arc, I guess you could call it. Everything Rem did for Subaru, throughout her multiple lives, no matter the circumstance. I feel like Subaru getting completely fucked up and becoming nearly insane was a huge step towards his already-growing character development. During his talk to Rem in episode 18 when he said "I hate myself", that one of the few moments where I could feel the amount of regret and self-loathing in someone.
    It's fucking astounding how much one person can take in a lifetime. Or multiple lifetimes in his case.

    BUT I'M STILL FUCKIN' PISSED HE SAID HE LOVES EMILIA AND NOT REM. REM IS BEST GIRL, DEATH TO EMILIA.

    Re:Zero is always going to have a special place in my heart because it's basically the first anime I ever watched. Afterwards I've started watching a ton of other things and really gotten into anime.

    Rem is by far my favorite character which probably has to do with the fact that she's gotten a lot of character development. Episodes 11 and 18 stand out as being big episodes for her and proving to me that Rem is best girl. My favorite part of the anime and also my favorite episode is 11. Minor episode 11 spoilers:
    I really enjoyed the backstory of Rem and Ram. This made them really stand out as characters as no other character had gotten as much character backstory or development yet.

    Re:zero is seriously one of my favorite anime. It helps that I'm a sucker for time travel lol. If you didn't know,
    there is a side story where rem accepts subarus proposal in episode 18.

    Drums fingers, oh baby finally a discussion thread.

    So getting @[member="Sanctuary"] and @[member="Nate"] into RE(m): Zero was probably one of the best decisions I've made to date. And honestly, I came in the anime blind too, it really is amazing. I haven't watched the two latest episodes yet bUT while we're on the topic:
    Episode 15, yes, the fucked up one, as well as the episode where Rem gave Subaru that huge monologue on why he was important to her have to be my favorites. Why the episode where everything went to shit because of that really crazy ending at the time. We had a giant wolf creature calling Emilia its daughter (learned it was puck) and suddenly Subaru's head rolls off and dark bloody credits roll omnimously across the screen. Like, that moment really fucked me up psychologically, and maybe the rest of the fanbase. It showed the breaking point in Subaru's psyche was finally met. And Rem cheering him up for literally 15 minutes of the episode... Like seriously what the fuck turning down a girl who laid her heart bare like that. Change your mind, Subaru :c

    At this rate do you guys think there will be a season 2? Willsubarurealizewhobestgirlis?

    Oh man oh maaaaaaaan. Please drop the link in this thread, I know Shiro and I are curious about it and wanna see, and I'm sure anybody else who loves Rem and sees this would appreciate it too. So basically every single person who's watched the anime, but ya know.

    I am truly thankful for that moment we all spent together. <3 It's been a wild ride throughout the entire anime so far, and I can only imagine what's gonna happen in the final arc.
    I think it getting a 2nd season would depend on how it ends altogether. But if it ends without everything solved/explained, I think it'll get a 2nd season. Hell, it might get a 2nd season even with everything explained. It's extremely popular and an amazing series, so I wouldn't be surprised at all.

    Rem and Ram's backstory was another part I enjoyed too, and I'm glad they explained without just putting Rem out as a demon with no explanation. A character I'd like to see a backstory on would be Subaru, because even though he's the main character, there really hasn't been much explained about his background, and I feel like it'd be a very, very interesting tale.

    Well, there are actually 3 side stories.

    The first is mainly Rem and Subaru saying cute stuff to eachother.

    I havent read much about the the others, but it seems to be more about their kids than subaru and rem.

    After catching up I finally feel checking this thread. I obviously Rem is the best but I think almost all of the other characters are excellent in their own way.
    I really enojoyed the Wilhelm von Astrea backstory for example.
    but apart from that and the gripping story, beautiful animation, etc. the thing I love the most about this series is
    Subaru's utter despair and psychological struggles and Rem who never leaves his side, it's truly touching.
    My favorite episode is
    the one where Subaru finds the entire town and all the people important to him massacred and gets frozen and beheaded in the end. It was so dark and creepy it gave me goosebumps and it made we want to watch the next episode so bad. After sinking as low into the depths of despair as possible, seeing Rem bringing him back to his original self was beautiful but the despair filled moments are still my favorite.

    Omg I really need to finish the series so I can hit everyone up in this thread again. No spoilers but, does Rem finally get to claim her crown as best girl? Ohhh man I gotta catch up AFTER THAT BATTLE WITH THE WHALE I GOTTA.

    And @[member="Maantijger"] that is honestly my favorite episode too, all for the exact same reasons. Ngl
