Must Read Removal of Old Themes

Hi folks. We know how much you guys love some of our older themes, Palette Town, Palette Town (Pink) and Lake Valor. Well, after releasing Valcadia we officially dropped support for them as they were hard to update. This basically means we stopped updating them with new features.

Currently, these three themes are incredibly unoptimised and outdated. This means:

• They're difficult and potentially slower to use on mobile devices and tablets
• They are coded far less optimally than Valcadia which makes them hard to update and improve significantly so
• Their designs are outdated by normal web standards (font sizes, mobile changes ect)
• They lack Buddy Interaction and most importantly Trainer Level features
• Certain pages flat out do not work as intended

We worry that newer users might stumble upon these themes, and not only would it provide a lesser (and sometimes even detrimental) experience for them, quite frankly we feel they poorly represent Lake Valor. Therefore, with all of this and more in mind, we have decided that on July 9th we will be removing these three themes.

That being said, we know you guys love the old designs, and so do we. Some of you did not like the fact that Valcadia lacked a background image and was very flat compared to the cheerful colours and images of the old themes. Therefore, we will be remaking Palette Town & Lake Valor using the same base theme that Valcadia uses.

This means that you will have to adjust to the different layout (the sidebar on the left, catcher on the right ect and other changes) but visually, the themes colours and images will remain consistent with the versions you know and love. When July 9th hits, Palette Town & Lake Valor will be immediately available to use in their new styles.

We know change can be hard to deal with, but we strongly believe the Valcadia theme we built is the future of Lake Valor. It is significantly better to use on mobile and tablet devices, and even on the web too. We spent a lot of time researching web design, coding and more to develop Valcadia. We're positive you guys will get used to and eventually love using Palette Town & Lake Valor in their new forms.

We also have a new theme that Supporters and Patrons can currently beta test called 'Krabby's Beach' and furthermore, Patrons and Supporters (then Contributors and VIP) will get access to beta test the new Palette Town & Lake Valor skins.

 

We never stated that Team Rocket's Hideout would be remade, but would you like us to?
