A terrifying noise that would make any one who heard it yield. "Hurry!" "I'm coming!" Loud, heavy footsteps thundered behind them, getting louder and louder as the beast got closer. "It's catching up!" "Just a little bit more! Keep going!" Nothing stopped in front of their path, as everyone else hid in fear of the chase happening so close by. But the two paid that no mind. All they cared about was getting out of here. "Nearly there!" "Almost!" Then another cry was heard. A high pitched shrieking cry with the hum of motors and the crackle of electricity joining it. "Oh no," "Not now!" They ran as fast as they could, pushing through the injuries they had sustained prior to them fleeing. Soon a cliff came into view, one that would give them the leverage to leave. "There it is!" "Go go go!" The two roars blasted from behind them. They were close. "Up up up!" "Hurry!" The fleeing duo jumped off the cliff, wings spreading wide as they made their accent. The ones chasing them roared in frustration upon losing them. The sounds of a battle starting could be briefly heard before they were out of earshot. Twin blurs of scarlet and violet broke through the cloud cover of Paldea's great crater. They spiraled around each other as they rose, before picking a seemingly random direction and going. Miraidon looked back towards xyr sibling, leading the flight out of the crater. "Are you doing okay?" "Fine," Koraidon called back. "But it's hard to keep up!" While they were gliding alright, they seemed to be lagging behind the other. Miraidon extended a fore paw to them without hesitation. "Grab on!" Koraidon paddled through the air, getting enough push for them to grab their sibling's hand. With Miraidon's jet boosters, they easily cleared the sky, but their steering was completely off as their balance swayed from both a lack of balance and terrible exhaustion. "Hey, Mir! I see the light house!" Koraidon said, seeing the familiar sight ahead. "Mmhh.." They looked up, seeing their sibling's eye screens starting to dim. "Mir?" As the events of the day caught up to Miraidon, xyr lights went out and they began to fall. "Mir!" Koraidon tried pulling up, hoping to drag their sibling up into a safer glide. But even though they weren't piloting their escape, Koraidon was too tired to do more than push xem and themselves out of the buildings way. They plummeted into the ground bellow.
