Riding Pokemon?

Riding Pokémon is most likely a Kalos exclusive feature, and won't be returning in future games. But, if it would, I wouldn't mind it. But I want less Rhyhorn riding (ugh too slow) and more Skiddo riding (that was just EPIC!). Come on people, Skiddo riding was awesome! Especially combined with that music xD
I am seeing some potential with the new diving mechanic, which will have to be done with a Pokémon.

 

I would love more Pokémon riding, but this time like it was a bicycle or surf feature. it was painful that it was such a small feature, the skiddo riding was fun but so limited. I would love to ride on my own Skiddo from one end of Kalos to the other. Also since they talked so much about Rhyhorn race it left me confused why they hadn't added a Rhyhorn race mini game like pokethlon. hope they make one in Pokémon z or what ever it would be called

 

I'd like to think that with so much water, they'd do another Lapras overworld sprite thing while surfing. And maybe diving with a certain Pokémon too, that would be pretty awesome.

 

OR/AS are remakes so I doubt that they'll add something like riding Pokémon, but they'll probably bring it back in gen 7 and like Astral said, I hope they'll let you ride faster Pokémon. Maybe they could add races, that'd be awesome, I mean what's the point of having Rhyhorn races when you can't take part in them.

 

I don't know, I personally felt that the Pokémon riding was to underused, I think that if they bring it back it hould be a TM/Item turning certai Pokémon into a bicycle type locomotion. Not ridiculous ways to cross a very boring stretch if land

 

Dunno about you guys but I just want to see Peeko again.<3 But hey maybe it'll have a special feature that involves... Maybe a Wailord... Or Maybe a Wailmer... Remember that kind that mentioned "Wailmer Watching" bath at Lillycove?

 

I don't expect Pokémon riding to be back in the next game, but there should be more of it in Gen VII. I disliked how limited riding Pokémon was, and the only one you got to ride was Skiddo. In some future game, there should be multiple Pokémon available to ride, and be able to ride them in more than one location.

 

I really enjoyed riding Pokémon, I kind of wish they acted like a bike and you could ride them everywhere though!

 

I wish you could ride Pokémon just as much as you can ride a bike all over the region.
Also, there should be more options like a Rapidash, Tauros, the 3 Legendary Dogs would be EPIC. :O

 

I really want Pokémon to actually be mountable in the overworld rather than in a specific place like in X/Y. One of my biggest hopes is that they'd allow us to select one of our party Pokémon we want to ride; they'd have different speeds going through different terrains and other side effects when in certain areas but that doesn't seem likely. I'd imagine riding a Rhyhorn in a rocky area would wield better results than, say, a Scyther, but chances are it's wishful thinking at this point.

Would be awesomepossum if we could ride Pokémon to find hidden items! They're in need of more ways to actually interact with Pokémon outside battles, after all.

 

As some people have mentioned, it's not likely that this feature will return as it was a Kalos exclusive thing it seemed. If nothing else I think it might be interesting having Pokémon go through sand or up slopes, but it's not likely.

 

Who cares about riding on Pokémon if you can also FLY on them??? Seriously, flying on the back of your Pokémon is like riding, but a million times more awesome!

well, in a WAY the feature has returned. But not in the way you had hoped. you can now ride your Lati around the skies encountering legendaries and rare Pokémon in the clouds.

 

Having the riding of Pokémon back again would be pretty good. I mean we already got a Latias/Latios flying ride, which is pretty cool. I would love to ride Numel/Camerupt in the game really lol.

 

Now that we have confirmation for Mega Latios and Latias being ride-able I can see some other Pokémon being ride-able too.Maybe there will be a Wailord ferry like in Pokémon Ranger Shadows of Almia.

 

I'd really love to see this. Some references towards the spin-offs would be really interesting for those of us who've played them, and when things like that are referenced, my attitude seems to perk up a bit. It's difficult to explain but I really love it when things get tied together like that, haha.
